Case 1 PC Soft is a company selling business software.

Their major selling software is


‘Mind Your Own Business’ and is selling at following rate. The selling price is decided
on whether the customer is using the software for education purpose and the quantity they
purchase. Look at the situation below and construct a Limited Entry decision table.

If the software is for educational purpose, and customer purchase more than 19 copies,
selling price for each copy is $120, and the customer will get a discount of 30%, but need
to pay a delivery charge of $40.

If the software is for educational purpose, and customer purchase more than 9 copies,
selling price for each copy is $120, and the customer will get a discount of 30%, but need
to pay a delivery charge of $80.

If the software is for educational purpose, and customer purchase less than 10 copies,
selling price for each copy is $120, and the customer will get a discount of 10%, but need
to pay a delivery charge of $80.

If the software is not for educational purpose, and customer purchase more than 19
copies, selling price for each copy is $160, and the customer will get a discount of 10%,
but need to pay a delivery charge of $40.

If the software is not for educational purpose, and customer purchase more than 9 copies,
selling price for each copy is $160, and the customer will get a discount of 10%, but need
to pay a delivery charge of $80.

If the software is not for educational purpose, and customer purchase less than 10 copies,
selling price for each copy is $160, and need to pay a delivery charge of $80.

Else, check the purchase order again.

Case2
Students who have passed both the course work and exam for a Diploma Course are
allowed to graduate. They are also issued their Diploma scrolls provided they have
completed payment of all fees. Students who have passed their course work only must
attend further exam coaching before sitting for the next exam. Those who have passed
their exam but not their course work are required to attend a semester of remedial classes.
Any student who has not paid his or her fees is issued a warning letter.

1. A software engineering company is having reorganization. Current staff will be


assigned to new positions according to the following criteria,

 Staff over 30 years of age with either a degree in computing OR five years
programming experience are assigned to senior programmers.

 Staff over 30 years of age have both a degree in computing and five years
experience are assigned to be system analyst.

 Staffs aged with 30 or less with either a degree in computing or five years
experience in programming are assigned to be programmers.

 Staffs aged with 30 or less with either a degree in computing and five
years experience in programming are assigned to be senior programmers.

 All other staff remains in current position.
