2. Explain which of these methods you may need to achieve your career aim and why

The first method I am going to need is the induction training. This is because when I start my job at the
company I will need to know their policies and rules. I will also need to know their goals and strategies so
I can familiarise myself with them and make sure my work I am doing is linked to what our end goal is. It
will also allow me to know I am working in a safe environment where there are fire exits and alarms.

The second method I am going to need is mentoring and coaching. This is because I will need some
training on how to utilise my skills and incorporate them in my work so the coach can help me with that. I
also need to gain new skills and experiences that will help me within my job. So a mentor will be useful
because they will show me the skills they have learnt and talk to me about any experiences linked to my
area of work.

The third method I am going to need is performance appraisal. This will allow me to see what growth I
have made within the company and see if my hard work is affecting the company or not. It will also allow
me to see what skills I still need to learn so I can arrange myself some training to gain them.

The fourth method is on/off the job training. For every employee having any type of training will benefit
you. This is because you will learn new skills and gain experiences which you can then apply to your job
and make it better. Gaining more skills and qualifications through these training programmes may also
allow you to work yourself up in the company.
