1.0 PURPOSE: To established a guidelines for operation of EOT Cranes.

2.0 SCOPE: - EOT Crane.

3.0 DEFINITIONS
3.1 HOD- Head of Department
3.2 Mech -Mechanical
3.3 PPEs- Personal Protective Equipment
3.4 EOT Crane- Electrically operated travelling crane

4.0 RESPONSIBILITY: HOD Mechanical is over all responsible. Individual responsibility

5.0 DESCRIPTION

5.1 Ensure safety guards of rotating equipment’s are Crane driver
placed before entering to operator‘s cabin.
5.2 Ensure that components are lubricated, cleaning Crane Driver
is up to the mark and all bolts are tight before
starting the movement of crane.

5.3 See the location of grab and observe the Crane driver
condition of ropes by operating the same before
starting the movement of crane.

5.4 1. Observe the movement of people on the Crane Driver

crane platform and as well as on long travel
platform.
2. Observe the rope slackness while lowered
the grab for collection of material.
3. Balance the swing of the Grab while
moving the crane in crosswords & in long

travel by adjusting with the speed.

4. See that the material should not spill and
carrying material should not adulterated to
any other materials which are stored in the
other Bays of the crane yard.
5. Somebodies help should be taken while
lowering the grab inside the hopper.
6. Any abnormalities of
Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation to
be informed to the concerned dept. for
immediate action.
7. Focus lamps to be used in the darkness for
downward observations.
8. Ensure that the cranes to be parked in
specific places when cranes are not in
operation.
