Unit: Frankenstein Play script (5 weeks )

Curriculum Focus:
Reading myths from ancient Greece. Comparing written and spoken stories, with a focus on storytelling strategies and sentence level
features.

Unit Learning Objectives


After completing the lessons in this unit, students will:
 Be familiar with playwriting terms such as dialogue, protagonist, plot, climax.
 Be familiar with the features of the gothic horror genre
 Be familiar with the plot, character and narrative techniques of the Frankenstein play
 Be able to design posters for display
 Be familiar with the features and techniques of writing diary entries and character sketches
 Be familiar with role play and other dramatic techniques

 Create an advertisement utilising key features to persuade audiences.
