TO RECLAIM AND ENRICH OUR INDIGENOUS MEXICAN AMERICAN CULTURE AND ENHANCE OUR WAY OF LIFE

MeXicanos 2070, an organization dedicated to reclaiming our indigenous Mexican American

culture and enhance our way of life in the Unites States urges President-Elect Joe Biden to
convene a nationally televised forum to address the following issues and concerns–other ideas
are welcome:

The disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on our Indigenous and Hispanic populations

Lack of in-depth data on the impact of Covid-19 on indigenous-hispanic populations

Implement a national study to ascertain with greater assurance the full impact of Covid-
19 on Indigenous and Hispanic populations and recommend improvements in the national
health care system to ensure these communities no longer end up experiencing the brunt
of infectious diseases

Launch of a national campaign to increase trust and confidence among Mexican

American and Latino populations in the vaccines to be distributed in the near future

Designate Mexican American and Latino essential workers as among the first groups to
be given the vaccine

Launch a national program to recruit and train and bilingual front-line workers to help
meet the health care needs of the Spanish speaking and other than English speaking
populations

*Indigenous/hispanic populations include Americans of Native origin, Chicano/Mexican, Puerto

Rican, Caribbean, and Central and South American origin.
