they forecast to opening a new place for distribution at Riche Terre Mall to extend its circles of

2.3.2 Marketing Communication

6
2.3.2.1 Social media Marketing

Thanks to the emergence of social platforms, the means of communication between customers
and businesses have changed considerably. Then, influencing by this rapid expansion of social
networks into society, organizations use them more and more as a part of their marketing
strategy tools and branding activities [ CITATION Gal10 \l 1036 ].

In the case of Tronix Store Ltd, the company have its own Facebook page and Instagram
business feed to expose virtually all its products online, and it used as a reference to clients. This
company’s social networks pages are very dynamics and share a relevant and updated content to
increases customers trust and gives them a reason to do business with the Tronix community. It
also allows customers to be aware about the technology’s news, new arrival on stock, limited
sales promotion and special offer, and it increases the brand awareness of the Company.

2.3.2.2 Direct Online Marketing

As customers want to be spoken to directly and are much more likely to think favorably of a
business if it has answered their questions or solved their problems [ CITATION Bri11 \l 1036 ].
Unlike mass advertising, which is presented to everyone, direct marketing is presented only to
people who are suspected to have an interest or need in company’s product, based on information
gathered about them.

At Tronix Store Ltd, the direct Marketing is done directly on Facebook as a private message to
the customer concerned. It is more about reminding customers about products that might interest
them and making them aware of some valuable’s promotions. Sometimes a direct call is made to
give customers more information.

2.3.2.3 Advertising

Advertising is a marketing tactic involving paying for space to promote a product, service, or
cause. The actual promotional messages are called advertisements. The goal of advertising is to
reach people most likely to be willing to pay for a company’s products or services and entice
them to buy. Nowadays, customers who are exposed to many branded messages on social media
platforms filter content that does not concern them [ CITATION Bri11 \l 1036 ]. So, providing

7
relevant and up-to-date content Advertising is one of the most crucial strategies for effectively
managing a brand on social media.

As Tronix Store Ltd focuses more on new technology, they used to promote advertising on social
media to communicate its offer to achieve a wide focus on publication. Tronix Store tends to
boost its advertising post to attract, to make customer aware and to remind potential customers
about products and services offered (such as Destockage, Easter Day Sale, Mother’s Day sale,…)

2.3.2.4 Sales Promotions

Sales promotion is the process of persuading a potential customer to buy the product. Sales
promotion is designed to be used as a short-term tactic to boost sales and it is rarely suitable as a
method of building long-term customer loyalty. The aims of this communication tool is to
stimulate, motivate and influence the purchase of customers through contests, discounts,
demonstrations, trade show, special offer, point of sales display and merchandising [ CITATION
Tut18 \l 1036 ].

In the case of Tronix Store Ltd, at the end of each month they have the “Tronix Days” where
they make a “crazy destockage” (clearance) on most of their products in a limited period of time.
They also made a special offer in the middle of April, where those who bought the console
Nintendo Switch received a high tech accessories as a gift. Moreover, they often use discount as
sales promotion tactic during a limited events such as EASTER SALE, MOTHER’S DAY SALE
and FATHER’S DAY SALE, where 15% to 25% off are given on the products with a free
delivery offered; at the same time they made a special offer on their service repair where they

3 Presentation and Analysis of the works assigned
3.1 The job at a glance
Tronix Store Ltd offered me the opportunity the do a job as an intern in the Marketing
department. As they are a startup private limited company, I was one of the first staff to be part
of this new department to share with the team my theoretical knowledge in this field. It was a 12
weeks long internship program and all the staff members at Tronix Store Ltd had to work 5 days
a week and we worked a half day during public holidays. Some training were provided to learn
the use of certain software which is very useful for my tasks as a trainee in marketing. I had
another intern co-worker with me. We used to have a roster-based work plan. Some other
facilities includes transportation allowances and internet allowances were also provided

3.2 Responsibilities and Description of the job

This part includes all the responsibilities and detailed description of the job I had to do during
my internship period

3.2.1 Content Management

Managing the content that we should post to animate and up-to-date the brands’ Facebook pages
was a noteworthy role of my job. Here I had to work on attractive text that I had to use to
describe the product and services that the company could offer to the customers; then I had to
edit and to design the post content via photoshop or powerpoint for advertising. I had to use the
strategy of psychological color to attract prospect attention and to trigger their want to purchase.
As always seeing picture on a business social media page seems boring, I had to do a video
editing on Filmora 9 to animate it. Advertisements sometimes amuses people. How to amuse
people with different approaches was the challenge and to make the best use of my brand
knowledge, it was the best platform to practice those that I had studied during my university life.
We had to do a lot of research works regarding the customer needs. I had written so many
captions for different Facebook posts.

10
3.2.2 Customers caring and follow ups

In this part of job, I have experience the interaction with customers through social media by
answering their specific demand about products information, convincing and advising them some
similar products to increase their purchases. I followed up customers from the moment of
purchase and and continue to ask them to if they are satisfied and if ever there is any problem
with the product sold as the company has a warranty systems. I remind and relaunch some
customers recorded about some products back in stocks or new in stock, services or special
promotion that might interests them. I also recorded all products recommended by customers but
not in our stock and contact our supplier to order them and come back to the clients when the
products are in stock.

3.2.3 Administrative tasks

Administratively, I often analysed some data recorded to know the impact of our Facebook post
in comparison to the sales, to evaluate if the content on the social media page attract and interests
customers. As an intern in marketing, I also looked for and searched for other traditional strategy
that might increase market share and company’s visibility.

Part of my work challenge during this 12 weeks was scheduling some date of a future event,
Tronix days, special promotion and date of each articles that will be posted on Facebook in a
system. Then programming at least 3 post a day to animate the company’s Facebook page.

11
3.3 Experience, appreciation and personal note

This internship at Tronix Store Ltd was a good experience for me as first experience in a back
office workplace. The young and dynamic team there made me feel at ease and there was no
work under pressure, the mentor let me work at my own pace while reaching my goals and
achieving the work assigned. I perceive as this opportunity as a big milestone in my career
development. I will strive to use gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will
continue to work on their improvement, in order to attain desired career objectives.

3.4 Critical observation and recommendation

There are some critical observation that I noticed during my stay at Tronix Store Ltd and could
give some recommendation. It could be a vital issues that the organization should look into.
According to me:

 As Tronix Store Ltd does not have a marketing management team, I would like to
recommend them that building a marketing team could be very necessary to perform well
their marketing activities so they can expand more their market share.
 The company doen’t have credit facilities yet, so I recommend they should implies the
procedure system of credit facilities as most of the product they sale are ‘High involvement
product’ so not all customer can afford it in one and only cash payment.
 An electronic payment terminal also should be provided for the customers who do not use
the application Juice.
 Finally, for the future marketing department, Tronix Store Ltd should provide more
furniture for photography to help marketers on their social media post.

4 Conclusion

Working as an intern in marketing on a video game industry has been for me a very enriching
experience in the field of professionalism. I am so happy that, I could complete the last phase of
my undergraduate life working in such a marketers in a startup company. For a young blood like
me working with the creative minds and professionals definitely was a great experience for me.
The Tronix Team there were great like home. We used to have fun, work with high

12
encouragement because we felt like, we are working not only for the client but also for our own
self-improvement. The experience at Tronix Store Ltd makes me understand that team work and
good relationship between team members can give a good result on each staff performance.
Again, this report is done with a lot of limitations and obstacles. Thanks to so many people who
helped me doing this report.
