 What is your job?

I am a police officer

 Where do you work? Describe your place of work,

In the Colombian national police, I worked in a police station

 What responsibilities do you have at work?

I handle the file, I do patrol tours, I provide support to the community


in general, give talks to children and adolescents, manage and control
the programs of the police station, participate in activities by request
for community support.

 Describe your activities at work. Do you like your job? Yes,


No. Why?

Archive, document, make reports, carry inventories, report news. Yes,


I like my work, because I am born to serve others when they need me.

 Describe your skills and weaknesses for this job?

Advice to people, adaptability, problem analysis, compression of ideas,


decision making, creative thinking, effective listening. Empathy,
leadership, organization. my weakness is maybe not being able to
solve problems for all people.

 What was your first day at work like?

Very good, because being a police officer was one of my dreams and
seeing it come true was all happiness.
 Do you have or know about any superstition in your
business/work/office?

No, not so far.

Psychology.

National Open and Distance University UNAD.

 What is your favorite subject?

Political psychology.

 What are your responsibilities at University?

Comply with the student regulations, comply with the delivery of

Manage the times to deliver the work in good time, study and
prepare very well for the partial or preliminary, read and understand

 What was your first day at University like?

Very good, it was a very cool experience knowing that I would start
the career that I longed for in my life.

school/University?

No, not so far.

Step 2 – Collaborative activity

2.1. Go to any job search webpage and each student looks for one job
advertisement related to his/her field of interest and publish them in the
forum.
Position: language and communication
-They prepare, read, and translate letters and other
documents, and are responsible for making and
receiving telephone calls and e-mail inquiries, as well as
serving visitors.

-They may need to take notes in meetings and interpret


at conferences. They also take care of other secretarial
functions, for example, organizing meetings and
paperwork for the trip of a manager or director.

Responsibilities: -The time a secretary spends using a foreign language


depends on the type of company they work for and their
position within the company. Undersecretaries could
spend much of their time working in their own language.

-Her general secretarial duties include answering routine


inquiries, taking messages, word processing, filing
documents, making photocopies, and keeping an
appointment schedule.

-If clients or international colleagues visit the company,


the general secretary must receive them and take care
of the modalities of their stay, including hotel
reservations and other travel details.
