Title: - common object (section 149), offenses against the public tranquility (section 141-160)

Introduction: - Offences committed by person in pursuance of common object being part of


an unlawfully assembly, as entitled in sec 149 of the indian penal code.

Statement of problems: - common object section 149, offenses against the pubAlic tranquility
(section 141-160) Ipc, which is unlawful assembly for committing such criminal boffence
against public peace with common object. If we see our current status in India we find that
people more indulge in this crime they have common object to do any wrong,Assembly is a
weapon to do any criminal offence, person feel more secure and fearless to do any crime.
This type of offences increasing day by day. In present we see many cases like Dacoity,
rioting etc which are increases in numbers and many times police are also helpless to prevent
these things they investigated some time which is not effective. Our upcoming has not any
type of laws to prevent such type of offence, so we have to prevent these type of offences by
legally and socially, There has been also found some vagueness or ambiguity as per the IPC
is concerned about and some recommendations were made by the Law Commission of India
to clear this out but no such reforms has been done which this research talks about.

Object of study: - To main purpose of the study to study offences against public tranquility i.e
common object section 149

Common object is a main form to breach public peace where group of people with common object
done something criminal offence
