In the 21st century, New York City has kept its place as one of the world’s leading cities.
It is also the center of international business, a command center in the world’s economy, and also
the main center for business such as legal services, world trade, insurance, banking, etc. New
York City is considered to be a global city because it has powerful organizations that are linked
to the other parts and many of the major corporations and multinational companies are
headquartered in this city. Furthermore, New York City made it a global city because it is
considered as a location for one of the major centers of finance and commerce (Lipsitz, 2010).
Although regarded as the `most populated city ' in the United States, the whole city has
something interesting to offer everyone.  The landmarks in New York City are known all over
the world. There is the famous Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Flatiron Building, the
skyscrapers, and the World Trade Center, now called ground zero. One of Manhattan’s famous
landmarks is Times Square. When it comes to food, New York brings a lot to the table.
Manhattan alone seems to account for many American culinary traditions, including pizza, hot
dogs, New York pastrami, Manhattan clam chowder, New York cheesecake and many more.
New York is a diverse city and as such has a variety of food chains to choose from. There are
more than 8.6 million people in the five boroughs and Manhattan is just over two miles wide. It’s
the highest population density in the country. You can walk for miles in the city and never be
more than an arm’s length apart from people in front and behind you. People are on the move.
Whatever you’re doing, wherever you’re doing it, there is a feeling that you should be doing it
faster. You’re on the sidewalk, walk faster. You’re telling a story, speed it up.
