ACCOMMODATION CONTRACT

According to § 754 and next of the Civil Code

Article II
Subject matter of the contract
Accommodation provider undertakes to provide lodging place to accommodated person (one bed) in furnished single,
double or triple bedded room number..............................namely for term since ............................

Article III 2. Accommodated person is due:

Origination and discharge of accommodation
1. Accommodation originates at the date of signature of
this contract by each of the both negotiators.
2. Accommodation discharges:
a) by the date, when the accommodated person stops to be
the student of the STU in Bratislava. Accommodated
personis due to report this fact in 3 days
to accommodation department of the hostel,
b) by expiration of time for which the accommodation in
this contract was negotiated,
c) by withdrawing from the contract before expiration of
negotiated period by accommodated person according to §
759 of the Civil Code.
Accommodated person is due to refund injury caused by
premature cancel of accommodation, if accommodation
provider couldn´t prevent from injury.
Accommodated person is due to notify in writing his plan
to withdraw from the contract at least 15 days before
cancellation of accommodation,
d) by withdrawing from the contract before expiration
negotiated period by accommodation provider if
accommodated person breaks accommodation rules or
otherwise (despite warning) breaks his duties, resulting
from the contract,
e) by impossibility of execution of the contract, for
example at that time, when accommodation provider
because of disrepair of the hostel cannot on the ground of
decision of appropriate executive agency or on the ground
of other objective reasons (injury or devastation of the
object) ensure accommodation and provide services
connected with accommodation.
Article IV
Rights and duties of accommodated persons
1. Accommodated person has these rights:
a) to use the room, in which he has allocated bed, basic
facilities including (within muster),
b) to use common hostel spaces,
c) to make use of services connected with accommodation,
d) to use only electric appliances in compliance with valid
Slovak technical standards and their using is permitted by
accommodation rules,
e) to request return of charges according with internal
instructions.
a) to familiarise himself with internal instructions
connected with accommodation and to keep it´s clauses,
b) not to make any changes in accommodation spaces
without accommodation provider´s acceptance (any
manipulation with furniture, any interference in to
electrical installation, exchange of locks etc.),
c) not to receive and not to use objects forbidden in
accordance with internal instructions at the hostel,
d) not to abandon the room (or it´s part) to person, to
which this room hasn´t been allotted,
e) not to restrain the rights of other accommodated persons
and not to invade good operation of the hostel,
f) at the date of expiration of accommodation to move out
the room and to pass the room in reasonable state,
g) at the date of expiration of accommodation at the very
latest date of moving out from the room and passing it to
accommodation provider, to settle all duties connected
with accommodation. Students finishing the study on the
STU are due to settle all obligations towards the
accommodation provider until ending the study, otherwise
issuance of diploma will be suspended.
h) to change (minimal twice in month) bedclothes,
i) on demand of employee of the hostel (labelled with
name-plate) to show own valid accommodation card,
j) to keep cleanness in the room, to keep order in common
spaces and hostel facilities and to save hostel object and
property.
In student room several accommodated persons or all
accommodated persons together are responsible for
hygiene by provable way.
k) accommodated student must use e-mail address made
by the Slovak University of Technology.
Article V
Rights and duties
1. Accommodation provider has following rights:
a) in case of disrepair of the room or by reason of
advisable utilisation of the hostel capacity to provide to
accommodated person a bed in other room,
b) to enter into the room unknown in case of threat of the
damage to health or property or by control of state organs.
Enter into the room unknown is performed by minimal two
persons together – the employee of checking authority and
hostel employee, who has name-plate.
c) if accommodated person doesn´t pass the room at the
date of the expiration of accommodation or in other time
determined in internal instructions, to move out him
eventually to place his things in dedicated space at his
expenses.
Accomodator is due:
a) to pass to accommodated person he room with facilities
in condition fit for properly usage,
b) to ensure for accommodated person rights connected
with accommodation,
c) to give back to accommodated person charges for
accommodation in cases defined in internal instructions.
Article VI
Price of the accommodation
1. Accommodated person undertakes to pay for
accommodation in stated term. The price of
accommodation is fixed for one bed per one calendar
month.
2. Charges for accommodation are drawn in price list for
accommodation of students of the STU.
3. Accommodated person takes due note of that in case of
price change he is due to pay adjusted prices from the date
when this change comes into effect.
4. Method of payment:
direct debit to bank connection of the accommodator,
5. Charges for accommodation are paid 2 months in
advance in one payment.
Payment period/Date of payment:
- since the 1st September till the 31st October/ the 15th
August
- since the 1st November till the 31st December/ the 31st
October
- since the 1st January to 29th February/ the 25th January
- since the 1st March till the 30th April/the 28th February
- since the 1st May till the 30th June */the 30th April
(* eventually July according to Study programme)
- since the 1st July till the 31st August/the 15th July
(graduants and foreign students).
Financial obligation will be fulfilled when the sum will be
put to account of the STU.
6. Accommodated person is due to show document of
payment at the latest in 10 days from call of the
accommodation department of the hostel.
Article VII
Penalty
1. If accommodated person hasn´t settled charges for
accommodation in the time and amount stipulated, he is
due according to § 17, article 14 of the Law No. 131/2002
of codex about universities to settle interest of the overdue
in double amount of the rate of interest of the Slovak
National Bank valid from the first day of delay with
paying. Further he is due to settle penalty in amount of
0,50 € / 15,- SKK, per every day of delay. This amount

Internal instructions valid in accommodation space
1) Accommodation rules of the hostels of the STU
2) Principles for accommodation of the students of the STU
will be carried to account in the next settlement for
accommodation, at the latest by checking-out of the hostel.
If the payment can not be identificated according to rules
due to wrong variable symbol, wrong height of payment,
wrong account, the claim will be considered to be not
settled. In accordance to Accommodation contract it can
mean cancelling of accommodation.
The penalty for searching of the payment due to above-
mentioned reasons will be 3,32 € / 100,- SKK.
2. In case when accommodated person doesn´t pass the
room to accommodation provider at the date of expiration
of accommodation or in other term defined in internal
instructions, he settles penalty in amount of monthly price
for accommodation per every begun month of delay.
3. In case of loss of the accommodation card or key of the
room, accommodated person settles the amount of
13,28 € / 400,- SKK for new card and 19,92 € / 600,- SKK
for new key. If the accommodation card is stolen the fee is
6,64 € / 200,- SKK. Student must have confirmation of the
Police.
Converse course 1 EUR = 30,1260 SKK
4. In accordance with § 544 of the Civil Code
accommodated person is due to settle penalty also when
the damage hasn´t occurred to accommodator by breaking
his duties.
Article VIII
Other arrangements
1. In relations, which are not governed in this contract,
respective instructions of the Civil Code and internal
regulations for accommodation of students of the STU are
valid.
2. Record of the retraining of accommodated person about
fire and safety regulations is the enclosure No. 1 of this
contract and Protocol about receipt of the room with
inventory is the enclosure No. 2. These enclosures form an
integral part of this contract.
3. This contract can be changed only in writing form with
agreement of both of the contracting parties.
4. Contracting parties declare, that they have read this
contract before it´s signature, they understand it, that they
have made the contract after their mutual accord and in
accordance with their self-determination and they are not
pressed by disadvantageous conditions.
They confirm authenticity of this contract by their
signatures.
5. The contract is drawn in two originals. Every
contracting party obtains one original.
6. Hostel is not in accordance with § 434 of the Civil Code
the place for safekeeping of cash balance, deposit books,
foreign currencies, jewellery and other valuables.
7. Accommodated person through his (her) signature
agrees with using his (her) personal data in information
system of the STU.
