Re: 7700 Compact + Upgrade to “older” Compact C-arms

As you’re already aware, an “Interface Upgrade Kit” (# 00-453221-01)

was added in July to the 7700 portion of the U.S. price list. This
upgrade, which is available globally, allows existing Compact C-arms to
become a “Compact +”, in effect allowing communication with a
workstation.

This upgrade provides an additional upgrade path to existing Compact

7700 owners. With this upgrade your customer will be able to use the
Compact C-arm alone for simpler procedures, or with a workstation
where additional viewing monitors, image storage or hardcopy options
are required.

The engineering team in Germany just

made me aware of a detail involving the
upgrade of “older” Compact 7700
systems with serial numbers lower than
805.

If an owner of an “older” 7700 Compact

purchases the Interface Upgrade Kit to
upgrade to a Compact +, adjustments will need to be made by a field
service engineer to allow the C-arms panel’s save, swap and print keys
to command their function at the workstation.

7700 Compact Plus (Hybrid) upgrade options

No upgrades necessary (N/A)

Old Compact + new Workstation B100 B304 Compact: S/N 600 to 804
B104 Workstation: S/N MW 2000 and up
The following upgrades are necessary:

Compact: Interface Kit 00-453221-01 (110V) or 00-453147-01 (230V)

Workstation: On the B-304 PCB, set jumper BR 4 and BR 5 and move BR 2 to position 1-2. This will
enable Print, Save and Swap from C.

New Compact + old Workstation B300 B104 Compact: S/N 805 and up
B304 Workstation: S/N 600 to 804
In this configuration the new function keys on the Compact (SUB, PEAK, ROAD) will not work. The rest
will work. To get these functions to work, the following upgrades are necessary:

Workstation: new Keyboard (00-453252-01) and B304 (00-451114-01)

Both new configuration B300 B304 Compact: S/N 805 and up

B304 Workstation: S/N MW 2000 and up
