1. Based on the picture, how tectonic plates move?

Because solids move, flow, and deform very slowly. Tectonic plates move at snail’s space the rigid
plates of the Earth’s surface are in constant motion relative to each other. As the lithosphere formed at divergent
plate margins is hot, and less dense that the surrounding area it rises to form oceanic ridges. The movement of
tectonic plates does not only depend on the convection cells in the mantle but also the plate’s motion that
corresponds to the convection cells.
