Discussion 1.1 What is Globalization?

    Good day Class!  To begin our lesson in our contemporary world class. we will talk about
Globalization.  so class what is globalization?  so  with so many available definitions in the
internet or in the dictionary. globalization can easily be describe as a " Border less society  for
the  world's   203 nations.  when  the year 2000 started or the new millenium many experts said
the world  will change  and there will be a so called  fusion of states, people across the globe
will be linked by  modern telecommunications  and innovations. 
 1. In your own words as a college student  define globalization
Globalization can leads to cultural, political, and economic integration and interaction
across the nation’s border. Culture and trends is globalized. A lot of activities and beliefs from
different nations influence other country. To exemplify, Korean culture and trends as seen
in Korean dramas have invaded and been deeply rooted in Philippine society
today. Korean dramas have greatly influenced the food, fashion, cosmetics, music, and
entertainment industries, as well as people's views and preferences. In politics, the presence of
the advantages of United Nations and World Health Organization takes place. The economy of
other countries increases because globalization makes markets more efficient, increase
competition, limits military conflicts, and spreads wealth more equally.

2. Give your insights about globalization whether its negative or positive.

Globalization has a pros and cons. The benefits of the globalization are cultural growth
and awareness, technological innovations, communication, development of trade systems,
increase of foreign direct investments, and a lot more. In contrast, globalization can result to
cultural loss, environmental problem cause by transportation, colonial mentality, decrease local
capital of uncompetitive industries, etc.
  3. How is Globalization changing your view towards life? 
In this modern globalized society, issues and problems are more complex than
ever before and the interplay of culture, economic, and political in the process could not be
denied. Globalization puts country into one plot where almost everything is interlinked and
where change in one aspect will affect the other. Globalization implicates the joining of hands of
all countries towards the better future. It refers to a wide communion of nations. Globalization
keeps the world united. Imagine a world without trust to each other; it may cause a never-ending
war. Having a common goals support the globalization.
