The MCT and MST will use this form to formally observe the trainee’s performance and to give feedback
based on the selected teaching competencies.

Comments: The teacher develops plans sufficiently and responds to students as a professional. She is
not problem establishing herself as the leader of the class to effectively engage, correct, and support
the students.

Planning for Learning F D C B A


Comments: Thorough plans with consideration of prior multiplication strategies. Timing
considerations are reasonable.

Managing Learning F D C B A
The teacher is appropriately firm with the class. Expectations are very clear. Reminders are
frequently given, and the students respond appropriately. The teacher has good relationships with
the students. They feel comfortable sharing their answers and taking chances with the teacher.
Implementing Learning F D C B A
The lesson begins with problem of the day. The teacher speaks with confidence and assertiveness.
After question of the day the students open their cameras and show their work. A variety of students
are asked questions during the lesson. The teacher deliberately calls on many different students.
Class greeting after reviewing question of the day. The teacher begins by reminding the class of the
need to finish Task 1. The slides are seasonably appropriate. Be sure to watch your tone with the
class. Good support the students reading slide title who struggles to read. The teacher goes on to
clearly read the objective with good emphasis on the objective itself. New words are identified.
These words are supported with images. The teacher continues to support readers who struggle.
After vocabulary review, the teacher shows a video to support the vocabulary and the objective. The
visual strategies that are used to check answers are very appropriate. Pacing is appropriate for the
whole class.
Assessment F D C B A
Comments:
Individual students are presented with the opportunity to show their individual work several times
during the lesson. Quizzes link provided near the end of the class for students to log in and take
individual assessments.
Reflection on Practice F D C B A
The student acknowledges that she is very strict and needs to acknowledge the student who always
wants to answer. She makes it intentional to handle the students. This class is said to be a difficult
group by the MST.
