LESSON PLAN Subject: Math

Trainee Personal Goals

I am working on: make the students demonstrate their skill to skip counting. Trying to use a simple way
to reach the information to the students quickly without facing problems.

My goal is to try to make each student recognize the meaning of the skip counting and how they can
use it even in their daily life.

Lesson Focus:

The students should be able to skip count starting by 5’s number using the blocks to help them.

They will be able to show their ability to skip count by creating their base 5 and complete to reach the
last number required.

Determine the number 5 to start the skip counting with it.

Lesson Outcomes

The students will be able to answer several questions about the skip counting by 5 by using many
objects to support them.

Students know how to add the numbers that will help them with this lesson.

collaboration: as the students working together on the activity and help each other to did the activity
was given to them. For example, the students will be provided with a plate with the numbers missing
so, they will start by skip count by 5 and check together by discussing to found the number was missing

Creativity and communication: as the students sit as an appropriate group they will be provided
activity contain cards, plate, blocks and hook so, thew will work together as a group and there will be a
leader so, they will create an idea to make a good activity, but should be about skip counting by 5 so,
may design the plate or adding the right numbers, that needs their imagination to work on it.

Possible problems for learners: Solutions to possible problems:

The students may mix between the demonstrate to them which number we start with it by

skip count by five they have to read the questions and follow the way that the teacher mention and
they should finish quickly because because there is a time. They can use their imagination to make
their own ideas.

Medium level: the students will be provided with a big poster on the Padlet written on it the
numbers with skip count by five but there are missing numbers so, they will work as a group by see
their names and start working then, fill the right numbers, for example, 5,10,15,20,25.

Low level: the students will be provided Padlet link contian a paper written on it the numbers start
with the skip count by five but there are missing numbers also will be provided pictures and small
cards contain the numbers to be as a hint for them so, they just will count by see the pictures to
know what comes next and match the card on the paper in the order way.

Differentiation activities (Stretch)

High to medium level: each student will provide the game link about the skip count by five so, they
will play the game alone and if they will choose the answer will show them if correct or if it wrong
will show them the explanation on it.

Low level: the teacher will do a challenge between the students by writing the same questions on the
screnn and choose three students to solve it and starting at the same time to see how much they
understand then, I will explain to others how they did.
