 About apps
The term App is short for Application: simply a
program with specific and special characteristics.
We use the term app for an application designed for
a tablet or smartphone.

An app can be a lot more dynamic than traditional

programs, but some of them depend entirely on an
Internet connection to work properly.

For the management of the apps, software

companies have created Virtual Stores, such as
Apple’s App Store or Google’s Play Store.

Stores have included ratings and reviews, where the

user community can give its opinions and ratings as
a way to improve the apps.
