Acknowledgement

I bow in reverence which is my duty to the /Almighty whose benign


benediction gave me the required zeal for the completion of this work.

This thesis was driven by the inspiring words and actions of the many
incredible and passiona'te researchers, political scientists and activists in
India, who tirelessly work to better the lives of the common man. Many
thanks to all of them for taking time out of their full days to share their
experience, successes and struggles. I also owe a great many thanks to a
great many people who helped and supported me during the writing of this
thesis.

I take this opportunity to thank the Almighty for having given me the
fortune to be guided by the world famous eminent teacher, academician,
jurist and expert In Human Rights Law who has no parallel in the subject
anywhere in the globe Prof. V. Tayal, [Former Vice-Chancellor,
University of BIkaner, Bikcner] Principal, Nehru Memorial Law PG
College, Hcnumangarh Town. I have no words to express my gratitude
towards him for his unparalleled efforts in going through this thesis, despite
his heavy workload. I remember with great astonishment his marvelous
comments on work which helped in focusing the thesis, identifying <& solving
the research problem and research questions. I am also surprised to see the
patience, concentraYion and immense sinceri-ty with which he read every
sentence in the work. I am highly thankful to the Almighty for having given
me the boon to be associated with such a spectacular genius who is
undoubtedly a model guide for all. I also thank him for his moral support and
his immense wish to see me completing the research which worked as an
inspiration for me throughout. I also thank him for his stainless and sincere
wish to see me in completing the thesis.
An honorable mention goes to my beloved parents and family for their care,
support and strength along the way. The unfathomable blessings, good
wishes and blessings of my parents are the spiritual strength with which I
have pursued this work. I am also indebted to my brothers and my sisters
whose everlasting love and affection have provided me enough mental and
moral strength to accomplish this task successfully. Big thanks go to my
husband Mr. Harish Chaudhary for emotional and logistical support
throughout this impeccable journey of my education, for his patience as I
completed this thesis and for teaching me the value of intellectual curiosity
and independent thinking.

My sincere thanks are also due to all teaching and administrial staff of N.M.
Law P.&. College, Hanumangarh Town for providing necessary facilities during
the course of study. I have heavily relied on several sources of information
emanating from the scholarships of many pioneering and contemporary
foreign and Indian authors on the subject whose works have been of
immense utility for bringing out the present work and the author
acknowledges the same with gratitude. I acknowledge gratefully
contributions of other authors, thinkers and philosophers also; whose names
do not find mention due to unavoidable physical constraints. The authors and
writers, who have been relied upon and the writings which have used as a
source material have been referred to and acknowledge in foot-notes, which
may be useful for the more inquisitive readers who want to pursue the
subject for further study. I bow before the invisible spirits of all the
eminent writers who contributed to the development of Law, Arts and
Literature.
