came into existence through the efforts of Dr. Victoria Q. Fuentes, the Ôchools Division Ôuperintendent then the benevolence of the City Êayor, the
Honorable City Êayor Reynaldo O. Êalonzo, who saw the need for a Ôcience High Ôchool that would cater to the poor but talented students of the city.
On June 1, 1998, the dream of the City mayor and the Ôchools Division Ôuperintendent became a reality when the 360 students of the DOÔT Ôpecial Ôcience
Classes from the Caloocan High Ôchool were housed on a newly renovated Ôangguniang Panglungsod, a 3storey building at the back of the Division Office.
The building has eight academic rooms, a library, stockroom two computer rooms, a small guidance office, an Audio Visual Room where programs are held,
the Office of the Principal and a Faculty room.
On October 23, 1998, the Caloocan City Ôcience High Ôchool was inaugurated with the Honorable City Êayor Reynaldo O. Êalonzo and Dr. Victoria Q.
Fuentes as principal sponsors, the visionaries of CCÔHÔ.
On Ôeptember of the same year, upon the promotion to Assistant Ôchools Division Ôuperintendent of Êrs. Lourdes Faustino, the newly appointed Principal
Êrs. Esmilita P. Ulangca and Ês. Êaria Paz Êarcelo, the designated Assistant to the Principal, promulgated the guidelines for the admission of freshmen to
CCÔHÔ. Thereafter, a selection test was administered to incoming first year students. To qualify for admission, the applicants should pass the examination,
which consists of proficiency tests in English, Ôcience and Êathematics and Logical Reasoning for the first round, and an interview for the second round. A
6040% aggregate score of the examinee decides their admission to school. Through the local school board funding, the school was able to acquire science
equipment and 50 computers with printers. In 2000 the school ranked first in the Division of Caloocan, sixth in the National Capital Region, and fourteen
in the National Level in the 2000 National Ôecondary Aptitude test. In July 2000 the school established its autonomous Ôtudent Government with Ês.
Êary Jane Toledana as the first president and Êr. Ferdinand A. de Leon in his capacity as the Coordinator of the Ôtudent government. The school now has
20 teachers and 300 students. Ten years after CCÔHÔ was established, it was announced by Caloocan City District Two Councilor Rose Êercado that the
school is now independent, thus the school is no longer under the arms of its mother school, Caloocan High Ôchool. The announcement was made during
the 9th Commencement Exercises, Êarch 27; 2009.On January 2009, Caloocan City Ôcience High Ôchool was officially recognized as an independent
