COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Lucky Textile Mills, Ltd. manufactures and exports knitted, weaved, and stitched fabrics
and other textile products. Its products include greige and finished fabrics, soft home
bedding, soft home kitchen products, window treatment and shower curtains, and apparel
and garments. Lucky Textile Mills, Ltd. has a strategic partnership with 1888 Mills, LLC.
The company was founded in 1983 and is based in Karachi, Pakistan.

OBJECTIVES:
Educate the Textile Fabric mill owners to create awareness for financial/ banking
needs and banking products in the identified market regions
 Develop strategies to attract a large number of Textile Fabric owners interested in
product schemes
Design a comprehensive positioning strategy to create strong awareness of the
Textile Fabric segment lending product in the market
Organize promotional events in cluster locations or near business location to build
strong image of the bank amongst the target audiences
Strategy Maximize sales by exploring and entering new markets, hence increasing
the global footprint of the Company.

Increased globalization, coupled with Government’s foreign policies (GSP+, etc.)
status given to Pakistan pave way for exploring and entering in new global
markets. The Government incentivized regional competitors pose a threat to the
entire sector, as well as issues, distinctly related to power, tariff, incentive
schemes and increased conversion costs would impede progress in the long run if
not dealt by the Government with high priority

PROCESSING:
Our significant processing unit is highly proficient in printing, dyeing and finishing fabric
up to 3.2 meters wide with an approximate production capacity of 85 million meters per
annum. The processing unit is based on the latest Swiss, German and Italian technology
equipped with high tech machinery and equipment.

PRINTING:
We have a vast range of designs catering to diversified global market. A computerized
color kitchen enables production of exact shades time after time, effectively ensuring
both consistency as well as reliability. Laser engraving, rotary machines (up to 16 colors)
& flat bed printing machine (up to 14 colors) using both pigment and reactive dyes is
what gives us the edge over our competitors.
DYEING:
At Lucky Textile Mills Limited, we endeavor to create new colors. From the milky
translucence of a misty morning to the pale hues of a clear blue sky, we are equipped
with a continuous open width dyeing, thermo sol and pad steam ranges that are capable of
pigment, reactive and vat dyeing on international standards. For shade variation, we use a
Spectrophotometer. Our color batch preparation is also supported by both DATA color as
well as Greg Macbeth color systems.

WEAVING:
Our custom-built weaving facility is supported by the most modern yarn preparation
equipment that is positioned in line with international standards. All the looms are
equipped with the latest data management systems and constantly control and monitor the
efficiency of the looms which is comparable with the finest plants in the world

 DESIGN AND STYLING:


Our design studio is staffed with the most creative designers who are specialists in their
field. Our designers continuously develop innovative and chic designs according to the
geographical location, cultural sensitivities and market trends. We keep abreast with the
latest fashions in different markets and seek to remain relevant in all aspects.

Our Design and Styling team has the expertise to use fine-mesh screens which gives us
the edge to create exclusive and complex designs with ease.

We are also teamed up with designers from USA, UK & France designers, which give us
an edge over our competitors.

QUALITY CONTROL:
Without a proper check and balance, it’s nearly impossible to deliver excellence. Since
we are strong believers in delivering reliable and quality products, we have one of the
best textile laboratories equipped with the latest technology and are staffed with highly
skilled and proficient people. We have an astounding capacity of covering a wide range
of operations, starting from testing of the raw material till the evaluation of the final
flawless product. Our quality procedures are on the guidelines of ISO 9001-2008 series of
standards and our laboratories are well prepared to control and check at every stage of the
production.
STITCHING:

The stitching division is equipped with sophisticated high tech machines that can stitch
fabrics and transform them into home textile as well as apparel products with a high
degree of precision, correct to the micron. Our stitching machines including Juki,
Brother, Kansai, and automated Texpa plant have a combined capacity of 75 million
meters per annum and we encompass skilled labor force that is experienced in shaping
the fabrics in to different sizes and styles as per client’s requirement. Customer orders are
thoroughly scrutinized to ensure compliance with customer specifications before they
reach their destination.

Lucky Textile Mills Limited is equipped to serve customer needs for specialized
products. Our in-house computerized embroidery machines are state of the art dedicated
to home textiles and apparels.

Our fully computerized delta comforter machine and multi needle machines can produce
numerous patterns, and are powered to generate a capacity of 56,000 units per month.

Financial Reporting
• Company has followed appropriate accounting standards and made appropriate
estimates and judgments, taking into account views of the external auditor.

• Review of quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial statements of the Company prior

THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OF THE CHAIRMAN INCLUDE:
• Setting agendas for the board’s consideration.

• Liaising and coordinating with sub-committee chairs.

THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


OF THE CEO INCLUDE:
• Serving as Chief Representative of the Company.

• Overseeing the business operations and implementing the policies and strategies
recommended and approved by the Board.

• Closely monitor the operating and financial results of the company against plans and
budgets on a consistent basis.

• Ensuring that effective reporting mechanisms exist within the organization to provide
feedback at all levels of management.

• Ensuring that the Company complies with all relevant laws and corporate governance
principles and that these principles are recommended to and adopted by the Board to
mitigate key risks.

• Setting the ethical tone in providing ethical leadership and creating an ethical
environment
CEO PERFORMANCE EVALUATION:
It has been a regular practice of the board members to evaluate the performance of the
CEO and their recommendations are put forward to the Chairman. The performance of
the CEO is evaluated on the basis of both qualitative and quantitative attributes, including
but not limited to, overall company’s financial performance, goal setting, leadership
compliance and effective Governance.

DIRECTOR’S TRAINING:
The Directors of the Company are adequately trained to perform their duties, and are
aware of their powers and responsibilities under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 and in
the Regulations of PSX Rule book.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY:
Energy efficiency paves way towards achieving a sustainable future. GTML has taken
several different initiatives to play an active role in conserving energy. We have
successfully acquired state-of-the-art Waste Heat Recovery Plant. This would enable the
Company to substantially reduce its costs and also ensure a greener environment by
substantially reducing carbon foot prints. In addition to it, GTML also ensures the
maximum Utilization of daylight for it feasible and workable environment.
