primary language. The goal is for ELL students to become proficient

» Why should I attend Pendleton?
The Pendleton School at IMG Academies offers a quality education,
excellent academics and engaging instructors to challenge and prepare
student-athletes for their next step in life. The on-campus convenience
and understanding that Academy student-athletes may often travel
to events allows the student-athlete to fully focus on academics and
athletics, without having to sacrifice one for the other.
» How much homework is given daily?
Our college-style A/B schedule allows for a maximum of three academic
classes per day, with each class averaging approximately 45 minutes
of homework.
Faculty provides class work for students to complete while they’re gone,
and “My Backpack” — an online communication program that connects
students, teachers and parents — also allows them to keep current with
lessons and assignments. Extra help from teachers is also available to
students upon their return.

Since its inception, the IMG Soccer Academy
has developed into one of the nation’s elite
soccer clubs and programs. The IMG Soccer
Academy has become the epicenter for
developing youth soccer players from around
the world. With a dedicated, passionate and
highly knowledgeable staff, the IMG Soccer
Academy has produced more than 40 professional
players over the last decade-plus, many of whom
have gone on to represent their respective
national teams. A quick glance at many
Major League Soccer (MLS), United Soccer
League, European club as well as college
soccer rosters will show a direct line from
the IMG Soccer Academy.
FULL-Time PROGRAMS
High School and Middle School Running from
late August until June (9 Month Program),
IMG Soccer Academy students live and learn in

balance in every player’s schedule. Training
occurs five days a week for three to four hours »P  rofessional and college teams pre-season/
a day, with competition on the weekends and
one day for rest. Student-athletes also work

development of a well-rounded athlete.

Post-Graduate Program Not all high
school graduates are physically, mentally
or academically prepared for college. The
post-graduate program, sometimes referred
to as a prep year, allows high school graduates
an environment to continue their athletic
development and provides the academic
resources to prepare for college entrance
exams and/or take courses for college credit
to get a head start on the competition.

High School Program The cornerstone of

School and Middle School Program operates
on a semester or year-long schedule

By incorporating some of the common elements that make our IMG Baseball
Academy a perennial top-10 nationally ranked team, yet using customized training
and coaching that make softball unique, the IMG Softball Academy will feature
total-sport development in pitching, hitting, fielding and running.

If you’ve been chosen to attend IMG Academies, you have various
housing, dining and options. Here’s some basic info to know for an
incoming student:
Enrollment Options
Academic Boarding Boarding students have several housing options,
from apartment-style dormitory living, to upgraded housing at Champion’s
Walk. Room assignments are determined by age. See details in the
housing section included in this book.
Academic Non-Boarding All non-boarding students are expected to
live with an adult member of their family, if attending high school and
are under the age of 18. Any exception to this rule must be approved in
advance by the IMG Academies Admissions and Executive Committee.
Participation in the afternoon sports programs is approximately from
1:30 – 5:30 pm (varies by sport). Non-boarding students attending
off campus schools may utilize the IMG locker room and showers.
Lockers are available on a first come, first served basis. Lunch is
included in sport tuition.
Non-Boarding Extended Programs Students participating in this
program are involved in extended training and do not attend school.
This program is recommended for high school graduates who want to
fine-tune their game by devoting a few months solely to physical, mental,
technical and tactical training. A minimum of a semester (4.5 months)
is required for this program. Post-graduate programs are available on a
half-day or full-day basis, depending on the sport.
These programs are also available with educational components.
International Students International students will need to obtain a
Form I-20 to apply for an F-1 student visa. The form will be issued by the
academic school of choice only after an offer of admission is made and a
deposit is received by the school. Students must contact the Admissions
Office of the particular school to which they want to apply.
Enrollment Information
Health Insurance Information IMG Academies requires each full-time
student, both boarding and non-boarding, to have a United States–based
health insurance plan to ensure that each student has access to medical
care, should the necessity arise. Please be aware that international travel
insurance and credit card–based health care reimbursement do not
qualify as health insurance. United Healthcare (UHC) currently offers
a plan to IMG Academies’ students for purchase that meets the full-time
requirement, should a student need it.
Tuition Deposits / Fees Upon acceptance, a non-refundable deposit is
due to guarantee the student a place at IMG Academies. Tuition balance is
due four (4) weeks prior to arrival. Other accounts that need to be opened
prior to arrival are security deposit, tournament and/or competition fees,
medical deposit and a personal account deposit.
Personal Accounts IMG Academies recommends that each student start
a personal account with an $800 balance prior to arrival. When a balance
drops below $100, an additional deposit is required. This individual
account may be used for Pro Shop expenses, laundry expenses and
personal spending. It is also important that parents allocate a weekly
allowance for personal expenses. Educational supplies, clothing,
equipment, private lessons, recreational activities and laundry are just
some of the extra expenses that should be anticipated. All cash should
be kept in the student’s personal account.
 Holidays and Vacations Students are allotted two weeks off during
winter Holidays and one week off in the Spring (refer to the academic
school for specific dates). If a student elects to remain at the Academy
during vacation, he/she may participate in sport programs at an
additional cost.
Student Code of Conduct All athletes at IMG Academies are held to
a high standard of conduct. Upon enrollment, families are provided with
a student handbook, complete with rules and regulations. Acceptance of
rules must be agreed upon and signed prior to arrival.

Our goal is to ensure each student feels comfortable in their living
space. Therefore we offer boarding students two housing options to
choose from, traditional dormitory housing and upgraded housing.

Dining Options
The junior cafeteria offers three nutritionally planned meals per day.
Individual meal plans can also be arranged for students with specific
dietary needs. There is also a full-service deli on campus, located near
the junior cafeteria. The deli is open daily, offering the students a healthy
choice of sandwiches, wraps, salads and pastas. (Take-out ordering is also
available at select times.) Students can also upgrade their meal plan to
add meals from the Adult Clubhouse dining room.
