EVIDENCE
Performance Tasks
Making Melody and Harmony

In this activity, the students  will create melody either by:

Singing individually or in a group;

Playing musical instruments (guitar, piano or other instruments); or,

Singing while other members of the group playing instruments.

This is a concrete way of experiencing and applying the different lessons on melody and harmony.

It gives opportunity to students to show their singing abilities and other musical talents like playing musical
instruments, reading notations, and performing with a group.

Drawing and Creating Melodic Contour and Melodic Motion

This activity is one that tests the listening skill of students  and will provide the them with the
fundamental skills in notation.

This is also a challenge about cooperating with their team mates in order to form the correct
pattern.

Giving the students a chance to make their own patterns (contour and motion) is an initial step
in melody making and composition.

Singing Ascending and Descending the Solfege

This is an activity that reveals the lowest and highest notes that a student can sing with his/her
voice.  Since in this class, this will be done with the accompaniment of the keyboard, it will also
demonstrate the listening skill of the students, and show   if   they can follow the pitch that they hear.   As
a consequence of this activity, the students will also have a clear idea of their respective voice
classification.
Other Evidence
 Vocalization
 Imitation of Sounds
 Aural Exercises
 Aural Recognition of Melodic Contours and Melodic Motiona
 Distinguishing Organized and Unorganized Sounds
