International
The class will first review how to play the notes B, A, and G on the classical guitar.
(W/I) Review of "Hot Cross Buns" and "Mary Had a Little Lamb" (5 minutes)
Then the class will review playing Hot Cross Buns and Mary Had a Little Lamb.
(W) Introducing C', D' and D and Song Study: Ode to Joy (15 minutes)
The class will then study how to play C', D' and D on the guitar.
The class will slowly play the song Ode to Joy by Beethoven, using the correct fingers in pressing the correct
strings against the fretboard to facilitate playing.
The members will then be called by the teacher individually to play "Ode to Joy" or at least the 6 notes used in
the song.
Bilingual/International Period
The teacher will give a short review of all the topics that have been covered before the finals and students and
clarify things that are not yet clear to them.
After the short review, the class will move to the library to take the written exam.
Bilingual students will have their performance test after the written exam playing major and minor chords on the
keyboard.
International Period
Students will be given their final practice where they can polish their presentation.
After the allotted time for practice, the students will be called one by one to do either the Major and minor
chords on the keyboard, or the three songs on the classical guitar.

Performances will be shown and students will look at the exhibit of pictures in the Music Room .

CORE TACTIC: HANDS-ON
Involving the students in actual playing of the classical guitar and the piano keyboard will give them first
hand experience which will deepen their knowledge of the theories discussed in the class. It will also make
the student realize that learning how to play musical instruments takes time and needs consistency,
dedication and focus.
