Duties and Responsibilities

 Supervises/controls branches with respect to the proper implementation of operational policies


and procedures
 Ensures that the Bank’s operational activities are being properly and smoothly undertaken by all
branches; checks that branches are following uniform practices of operational procedures as per
the Bank’s rules and regulations;
 Consolidates and presents the annual work plans, budgetary requirements and performance
reports of branches and ensures that branches operate within approved budget;
 Permanently monitors the work volume of operational activities of branches and measures their
progress and performances in terms of loan and advances, deposit, international Banking
services, etc.;
 Ensures that long outstanding items of branches in the books of accounts have been cleared;

to the Management regarding recurrent discrepancies and their rectifications;

Duties and Responsibilities
 Receives new loan applications or additions; ensures that request is consistent with
Bank's credit policy and that supporting documents are complete;
 Conducts loan interviews and provides counsel and credit information to applicants;
 Per credit policy of the Bank, investigates and analyses applicant's financial status,
references and credit rating using various analysis techniques;
 Corresponds with or interviews applicants to resolve issues arising from loan
application;
 Conducts field visit of business to ensure credibility of information provided by
applicant and to make proper credit analysis and to assess collaterals;
 Evaluates results of credit information; compiles and submits to supervisor with
recommendation and risk rating;
 Ensures that all loans handled have proper hazard/risk insurance coverage; follow-
up for its timely renewal;

 Handles correspondences with loan applicants;


 Prepares loan and mortgage contracts, guarantee instruments in compliance with the
provisions of approved credit facilities;
 Arranges for and ensures the proper registration of all securities offered as collateral
at the proper governmental registrar body;
 Keeps custody of loan files confidentially;
 Keeps custody of stock of flat rate revenue stamps;
 Follows up the timely collection of contractual repayments of term loans and
renewal or otherwise of overdraft facilities;
 Timely and periodically recognizes appropriate interest incomes on loans and
