Acupressure Points for Numbness in Hands
Acupressure can help to reduce numbness in hands by massaging the pressure points. The following
are the commonly used acupressure points for numbness in hands that you can do on your own. Instead
of pressing with your fingers, you can also use acupressure stick.
Waiguan
Waiguan (TE5)
Waiguan is commonly used to help relieve numbness in the hands and fingers. Itis located above the
transverse dorsal crease of the wrist, between the ulna and radius. Use your thumb or forefinger to press
on it for 2 to 3 minutes. This procedure should have been repeated for the other wrist.
Neiguan (PC6)
Neiguan can be used to relieve numbness and tingling in the hands and fingers. It is located in the
middle of the wrist, about two finger widths below the palm, Use your thumb or forefinger to press on it for
2 to 3 minutes. This procedure should have been repeated for the other wrist.Lieque
Lieque (LU7)
Lieque can reduce numbness and tingling in the hands and fingers. It is located on the radial margin of
the forearm, superior to the styloid process of the radius, above the transverse crease of the wrist. Press
it gently for about 1 minute or you can do circular motion with finger.
Hegu (LI4)
Hegu can be used to relieve numbness in the hands and arms. It is located on the highest spot of the
muscle when the thumb and forefinger are brought close together. Use your thumb and apply pressure
or you can do circular motion with thumb. This procedure should have been repeated for the other hand.
