A SIMPLIFIED ACTIVE FILTER IN PARALLEL CONFIGURATION

This application example is based on a case origionally created at the Manitoba

HVDC Research Centre by Dr. M. Reformat, in Manitoba, Canada.

This case illustrates the use of a STATCOM to provide active filtering for the ac
side of a 6-pulse converter system. The Active filter is connected through a 20 VOLTAGE SOURCE Com.
