 Knowing that historical events happened for a long time already, how did historians ascertain even
during the time when they were not born yet which events really happened?

-By finding the truth in history, in which they gathered all information of all sources of history, and
studied it carefully and comprehensively. With that, they can make their own way of writing the
history, wherein it contains legitimacy and credibility.

happened. President McKinley and his fellow people continues to improve the Philippines like
Filipinos children are having their regular classroom, and the themosite were sent to teach the
children using the English language, but we can’t deny the fact also that all of what they did to the
country has an exchange, wherein President McKinley take an action whether the Philippines back to
the Spain or to keep it. In short, American during those time has a plan on how to improve their
economy, wherein they used the Philippines for their own benefits/good.

-It affect by having a less productive country, in terms of governance, economy and so on. Because
during the Spanish era Filipinos was controlled by the Spanish, wherein they don’t have their own
governance and son. And also Philippines may become a poor country, wherein we since during that
time we don’t have our own governance. On the other hand, as what I’ve observed right now
sometimes we always rely on the other country, in which we don’t take action on our own way.

Who is the author of the primary source? What do you know about the author that may shape his/her
perspective?

-The author of the primary source is my mother Susana V. Mahasol, in which she collected and developed that
pictures to make it a memorable album. My mother Susana V. Mahasol is a loving and caring mother to us. She
wants to make a memorable pictures so that’s why she create an album, wherein it contains pictures from
childhood to now.

Who is the intended audience of the primary source?

-The intended audience is her loving husband, daughters’, and son.

Where and When was the primary source published or created?

-Basically, it was created at our simple house. I forgot what date did the album published/created, but I know
that since we were childhood my mother has already an album, in which the picture contains our childhood and
todays memories.

Describe the historical context. What was happening during this event or time period?

-My parents are family oriented so that’s why my mother wanted us to know what truly family is through the
album, in which later on in our lives we can open that album and tried to reflect what happened on that day, and
what is/are the things that is needed to change. She tried to encourage us that we should love each other. Back
then, our family experienced plenty of doleful moments, so because of that my mother wanted to captured every
moments even if it is happy/ sad.
