Procedure manual for not enough 2nd image transfer output.

This is the procedure manual for white spots caused by not enough 2nd image transfer outout as
the following image.
Adjust to paper and user environment in reference to this procedure manual.

1) Check the printer firmware version.

Service Mode -> Firmware Version -> 3

Check that the printer firmware is the above version onwards.

The function of Engine FW DipSW No.8 to use on 3) isn't supported on older version than the
above version

2) Make Engine FW DipSW operational.

Service Mode -> System 2 -> Software Switch Setting
Set swich No.59 to [01] at HEX assignment.

3) Activate No.8 of Engine FW DipSW.

Service Mode -> Enhanced Security -> Engine FW DipSW
Touch the key No.8, check the key is highlighted in reverse video and touch OK.

Secondary transfer adj. of Plain - Color and Normal Paper - Black are increased by
activating No.8 of Engine FW DipSW.
4) Set 2nd image transfer output to auto.
Service Mode -> Image Process Adjustment -> Transfer voltage Fine Adj. -> Secondary transfer Adj.
Set 2nd image transfer output of first side and second side to auto.

5) Turn OFF/ON the main power switch.

Check the print image and if you judge 2nd image transfer output is not enough, try next
step.

6) Set [TCR Level Setting] to [+3].

Service Mode -> Image Process Adjustment -> TCR Level Setting
Set adjust value of all colors to [+3].

7) Perform [Manual Toner Add].

Service Mode -> Image Process Adjustment -> Manual Toner Add
Select all colors and press the Start key.
8) Perform [Initialize + Image Stabilization].
Service Mode -> Image Process Adjustment -> Stabilizer
Select [Initialize + Image Stabilization] and press the Start key.

Check the print image and if you judge 2nd image transfer output is not enough, try next
step.

9) Increase 2nd image transfer output.

Service Mode -> Image Process Adjustment -> Transfer voltage Fine Adj. -> Secondary transfer Adj.
Check the print image and increase adjust value.
Check and adjust each of first side and second side.

Check the print image and if you judge 2nd image transfer output is not enough, try next
step.

10) Replace transfer roller unit.
