To maximize the oppurtunity given to apply the concepts learned

during the intrapartum lecture and at the same time learn from the
actual procedure with the help of supplementary videos so that by the

time we will be deployed to lying-in centers or hospitals we will be
able to render effective maternal health care services specifically
during delivery.
Expectations
I expect that the overview of what will happen as well as the required
outputs to be submitted each day of 8 days RLE will be given and be

explained. Also, forms and paper guides will be distributed so that we
could scan it and plan early how to comply qualiity outputs.
Supplementary videos given on the first day will be presented on the
Day 2 google meet so that when procedures seems confusing we could
consult how to do it appropriately right ahead .
To receive a constructive feedback regarding the journal critique and
hoping we could present each study so that everyone of us can grasp
Day 3 the information obtained from the results and at the same time the
reflections about the applicability and its impact in rendering effective
intrapartum care.
To receive a constructive feedback regarding the submitted nursing
process as well as recommendations how to improve it and to have

an in depth understanding about the preparation of DR instruments
and equipment and how to handle or use it appropriately.
To gain insights and skills how to deliver the placenta, assist in
episiorraphy, perineal care and application pad, the after care of

materials , and the various health education that could be given to the
patient.
To further understand the various activities related to immediate care
of the newborn, the salient procedures which should be given

attention in performing Anthropometric Measurement, and how to
perform APGAR scoring and Ballard Assessment.
To acquire comprehensive skills and knowledge on how to administer
effectively and efficiently vitamin K, Credes prophylaxis, and hepatitis
Day 7
B Vaccine to a newborn and when and how to put identification band
for newborns identification.
To receive constructive feedback and summary of all the topics
discussed and tackled within 8-days of RLE Intrapartum care. Lastly to
Day 8
share reflections within the group to enhance establishement of
rapport.
