DX-TV CONVERTERS
A reduced vision IF bandwidth is essential for retrieving weak signals from the
noise and improving adjacent channel selectivity.
A wide IF bandwidth found on multi-system TV sets ‘sees’ a greater part of the
band, resulting in background noise and unwanted signals.
D500 VISION-ONLY
• Ideal for Sporadic-E reception.
• Covers 45-86MHz approx.
• Simple to use.
• Feeds conventional TV at UHF (adjustable channel).
• Calibrated in DX channels.
• Manual IF bandwidth and gain
£119.95 Order Code R25
EXPORT UNITS
With EXPORT orders the PSU is NOT supplied with the D100 or D500 converters and this is reflected in the add-on
supplements for AIRMAIL delivery.
A non-regulated 12V PSU rated at 500mA or more should provide sufficient voltage.
For the US market we can supply the D100 calibrated in US channels (Prices upon request).
For the Japanese market we can tailor the radio output for the Japanese FM band
(Prices upon request).

BAND I/II AERIALS
(45-110MHz)
An aerial covering the appropriate frequencies is essential for effective DX reception.
An FM aerial (88-108MHz) may seem to work but it will not be very efficient for Bands I or III reception.
Our range of specialised VHF-TV arrays feature a 25mm (1-in) square-section boom for rigidity and
ruggedness, while the elements are manufactured from 12.5mm (0.5-in) seamless alloy and plugged.
N.B. The 45-110MHz antennas (D33 and D39) may be used for both TV and FM DX-ing.
WIDEBAND DIPOLE
• Ideal for TV and FM DX-ing – covers 45-110MHz.
• Includes 1.5m alloy mast and loft mount.
£23.95 Order Code D15
7
BAND I LOOP WITH L-MAST
• Ideal for exploiting nulls to help reduce interference.
• Less than 100cm square.
• Can be hand-held or orientated in any position using the L-mast and bracket,
either when loft mounted or screwed to a baseboard.
£19.45 Order Code D18

VF-100 COMPACT
• Single boom saves valuable mast space – a neat solution.
• Rugged construction featuring a 25mm square boom for rigidity.
• 8-elements. Boom length 1800mm approx.
• Clamp for up to 50mm (2-inch) dia. masts.
• Features two outputs for individual filtering and amplification options:-
1. Bands I/II (45-110MHz) > 3.0dB gain.
2. Band III (160-230MHz) > 6.5dB gain.
Just to give some idea of how effective it is, our test array installed at only five metres above
ground level has captured F2 exotics in Band I such as Thailand and Australia plus Algeria, Tunisia
and Libya in Band III via Sporadic-E.

REVIEW
The Archive TV Magazine of the Future
This quarterly subscription magazine has an impressive
slant towards TV broadcasting in its infancy, much of
which cannot be accessed on the Internet.
Although the emphasis is on Archive TV, we’ve broadened the magazine’s appeal to incorporate all
aspects of TV past and present, including digital television, behind-the-scenes topics, test cards, trade
test transmissions, test card music, early receivers and general TV nostalgia both in the UK and
Overseas.
It is also the magazine of our very own BBC Test Card Club.
