Creating a Custom Windows Installations

Installing an operating system is a time consuming process. Having control over what goes with
your Windows installer, like the necessary drives, updates, and apps, can save much time during
installation and can save space on your computer’s hard drive.

In this lesson, you will walk through the procedures in customizing Windows image that will
include any required updates and drivers and allow for full customization of the Windows 7

Windows operating system comes with programs, features, and services that take up
unnecessary space which can slow down your computer. If you want a lighter version of Windows,
you can create and customize your own installer using RT Seven Lite.

RT Seven Lite is a configuration tool that lets you edit your Windows install disc. . You can
remove Windows features you don’t want, add drivers you know you’ll need, add or remove items
from the Control Panel and right-click menu, and more.

Advantages of using RT Seven Lite

1. It cuts installation time in half.

4. It adds drivers such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi drivers to the install disc.
5. It can set default themes, fonts, wallpapers, logon screen, system sounds, screensavers to
be included in the customized operating system.

Requirements for Creating a Customized Operating System
