A neighborhood newspaper is a wonderful thing. It bears the burden

of providing information to its readers, it creates a platform for
the expression of personal and political views, and it’s the media
that allows merchants and service providers to communicate with
potential local patrons. A neighborhood newspaper binds together
a geographic area and makes it a neighborhood.

I’m proud to have worked with the group that has brought out this
first edition of the Uptown Neighborhood News. If you feel that a
neighborhood newspaper is a good and worthwhile project, please
contact your CARAG or ECCO Association Board and ask them to
work to support the Uptown Neighborhood News. Ask them to look
into ways to facilitate the newspaper and ask them to seek out
innovative solutions to obstacles in their procedures so that the
Uptown Neighborhood News can thrive!
