1 About this document
This is the quick start instructions for the SSW 7500A/30000A-230 static switch. It
provides the basic information to set the device in operation.

2 Operating the static switch

Plug in

Plug-in the unit to free slot. Secure the

connection with the lever.

2.1 Starting the static switch

The static switch starts automatically when either mains voltage or inverter output voltage
is present and connected to the static switch. When both mains and inverter AC supplies
are available the static switch uses the default supply defined by the static switch
parameters. When starting the static switch with only mains voltage and default supply is
set to inverters (Online), it takes 15 s. for the static switch to switch to mains.

2.2 Shutting down the static switch

The static switch operates and supplies power to the output as long as one of the AC
supplies is on. To shut down the static switch, turn off both supplies. First turn off the
backup supply to prevent the static switch from connecting to another supply before
shutting down.

Caution! When following this procedure, the equipment will completely be

disconnected from the AC supply. Follow this instruction in intended cases only.

2.3 Diagnostic
If the static switch recognizes a fault condition it indicates it by the front panel LEDs. In
case of a fault the alarm can be reset by fixing the problem in the system. Refer to the
User Manual for more information.

2.4 Remote monitoring and programmable parameters

Refer to the RemoteMonitoring Manual for monitoring the operation of the static switch
and modifying its parameters. Parameters can be changed at anytime. Parameters are
described in the User Manual.
