Currently, I am in my final semester, pursuing my first degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Hons),
Chemical Engineering, majoring in Process Plant Engineering, in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS
(UTP) which will end in September 2011.

2. Through participation in extracurricular activities, I managed to improve my soft skills and


interpersonal skills and succeeded to the top level of leadership and entrepreneurship in the university.
During my involvement in the technical department, I have successfully managed and led my
committee members for cutting the cost for the events that I have joined. From these activities, I have
been exposed on how to work under pressure, managing time efficiently and contribute more to the
university. I believe that the experiences I have gained will help me to contribute towards the success of

3. During my eight months Industrial Internship Program at PETRONAS Centralised Utility


Facilities, Gebeng, Pahang, I was attached to Process Department where I was exposed to cryogenic
and water treatment process, and I have learnt a lot of new things which developed my skills in ethics,
knowledge about engineering practices, communication and management.

COMPANY PETRONAS Centralized Utility Facilities (CUF), Gebeng, Pahang.

DURATION 8 Months (December 2009 – July 2010)

TASK ASSIGNED  Monitor, maintain and improvise the process of the plant.
 Attached to Nitrogen and Water unit, which comprise of Nitrogen
Generation Unit, Water Demineralization Plant, Cooling Tower, Raw
Water Unit and Effluent Treatment Unit, but also learned and helped in
other plant.
 Monitor the product specification and efficiency of a process.
 Attend to any problem in the plant and finding the solution.
 Developed a high interest in process field, especially in cryogenic and water
process.

During Preservation of Auxiliary Boiler

TRAINING  KURITA Chemical Training- since CUF use new contractor for chemical to
use in cooling water, we undergo the training to improve our knowledge in the
new chemicals.
RELEVANT PROJECTS AND COURSE WORKS COMPLETED
COURSE DESCRIPTION

FINAL YEAR PROJECT  Investigate the characteristic of treated effluent from textile industry after being
treated base on Fenton-process concept.
 The Fenton process is helped by oxidation process, a technique called Advance
Treatment.
 The effluent is treated mainly using coagulant (Fe2+) with supportive mechanism of
oxidation process.
 The optimum process parameter is being investigated, so do the feasibility of the
process in real textile plant.

ENGINEERING TEAM PROJECT  Team members came from various engineering field.
 Design a portable umbrella whichsuccessfully meet the objectives of the project
which is producing a portable umbrella that is users-friendly, use optimum space
and reliable.

INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP  Lead the Root Cause Analysis meeting and involve in solving the problem of high
impurities in product at Nitrogen Generation Unit 1 in CUF.
 Calculate the pipe sizing and monitor the work for new Chemical Cleaning Skid of
Reverse Osmosis Unit in Water Demineralization Plant in CUF
 Performed an experiment for optimatization project of regeneration process of
resin in Mix Bed Exchanger in Water Demineralization Process.
 In charge of isolation work and monitor the work during Nitrogen Generation
Unit 1 and 2 in CUF.
 Act as the Person in Charge during resin and carbon change-out (different time)
at Water Demineralization Plant.
 Involved in preservation of Auxiliary Boiler project in Cogeneration Plant-
inspect the condition of the boiler and perform experiment to see if there is any
moisture in the boiler.
During chemical cleaning of  Participate in commissioning of new chemical cleaning skid of Reverse Osmosis
Reverse Osmosis Unit unit in Water Demineralization Plant.

FINAL YEAR DESIGN PROJECT  Performed a teamwork research on production of Poly-Ethylene Terephthalate.
 Design the process, parameter, control system, safety measurement and
equipment for the plant and developed a plant using iCON.
FLUID MECHANICS  Designed a process of district cooling system
HEALTH, SAFETY &  Listed the possible danger in campus and the precautions that should be taken.
ENVIRONMENT
SEPARATION PROCESS 1 & 2  Designed a portable water system using employing membrane unit and
desalination of river water for industrial usage.
PROCESS SAFETY AND LOSS  Estimation of disaster affecting sorrounding if accidents occur in the plant using
