My dream is to do a specialization in the water engineering eld. After I nish my studies I would to take over
leading positions in universities, research agencies and national and international organizations, so I could apply
all of my knowledge that I have absorbed from my study experience in my home country and the
accomplishments that I aspire to obtain while studying in Germany. My country faces all di erent kinds of
challenges regarding hydro engineering such as water depletion resources, water management, water supply,
and so on. According to the annual report from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (MESP): ‘’Kosovo
has insu cient water resources, and in the future, it will be a limiting factor for economic and social development
of the country.’’ Therefore, I feel that studying in a highly developed country as Germany, where these challenges
are tackled very seriously, I would be able to bene t in an impressive way academically, and use it to contribute
for the development of my own country.
After a lot of research about which courses t with my program, I narrowed my search into three German
universities, all of them related with hydro engineering. The rst university that I am interested to study is Leibniz
Universität Hannover. The name of the course that I intend to enrol at this university is Water Resources and
Environmental Management. In this course I look forward to gain an interdisciplinary knowledge and key
quali cations in the eld of sustainable water resources management. As a result,
