SYNOPSIS

INTRODUCTION
The museum brings together culture, lifestyle, customs, beliefs of various
tribes from different state of India especially Maharashtra state. Maharashtra state
has the second largest tribal population in the country, there are total 45 tribes
in Maharashtra out of which 9 are major tribes.
Museum Is A Place of Learning. An area where the learning is visual,
verbal and physical. One type of place where social interaction between various
kinds of community plays a vital role in order to develop a cultural bond amongst
people of various group.
India being a land of heritage has to have such arts, culture and history amongst.
A forum of exchange of idea and knowledge is important so that to understand
various sections of society which are often classified as backward class or tribes.
Tribes are one type of society which having their own art, culture and
traditions. But in present day scenario somewhere in race of urbanization these
group are losing their existence. So that, here by develop the museum which
depict importance of the tribal culture, tradition and their cultural conservation.
To making a platform for this particular community for represent their existence

AIM: To build an museum for tribal culture, art and tradition that will reflect the
spirit of tribes which will also give platform for their community who can be the
part of these creation, so that they can deal with existing community of the tribes
that need conservation and preservation for next generations.

OBJECTIVE:
- To display a depiction through various themes of their art, craft, culture,
tradition, etc. that will create emotional connection amongst the audience.
- It will collect, preserve, interpret and display art, craft, etc.
- To show the actual life style of this community which has not been given that
much attention till yet.
- To aware present generation about the tribal community.
-To create an art and craft promotion center, and workshops for learning.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS:


There are different ways to depict the actual contribution of tribal community in
the proposed museum.so that audience can easily get the feelings of this
particular community in interactive manner.
-Tribal contribution in museum:
Using traditional materials
Making the modern communication like audio visual documentaries
-Tribal culture and life style:
Display tribal artifacts and handicrafts
Description of cultural richness of tribes using modern communication
technology
Display the actual size houses prototype to understand their lifestyle.
-Tribal knowledge
Relation between tribal wisdom specific to nature and exhibits tribal ecology,
herbs.
-Provide platform for tribal community
Administrative office, library, seminar hall, auditorium
Workshops and shops for art and craft.
-Tourist
As tourist spot for outside and local visitors and developing recreational area

LIMITATION:
This museum will mainly focus on the culture of the tribes, style and tradition
of the state tribes. Maharashtra has 45 different tribal community, in order that
display houses prototype like tribal habitat of the surrounding major tribal group.

METHODOLOGY
1. Data collection
- study about the tribal community and their settlement
- study and understand art, culture, lifestyle and architecture of the tribal groups.
- collect and study existing government work or data about tribes.
