MUSIC

First, I'm going to try to separate what is sung (text just) from what is played (instruments sound and, in most
cases, melody). Technically evaluating what is played, we can take a few things into consideration:
A variety of modes may create specific composer feelings or experiences that could mark the characteristic
society or historical moment. Modes may also be unique from the specific style of music from a particular
place which shows the tradition and history from where it originated.
The texture of music is critical too. Some types of music are characterized by the way their tempo is
constructed and arranged. In various cultures a wide range of rhythms are perceived. The timbre devices may
also classify the characteristics of a area because of the way such instruments are built and the type of
construction materials used.
The composers' feelings can also be conveyed explicitly via the theme, motif and specific melodic
constructions. A special melody form such as Chopin could be built by some composers. His style of melody
clearly reflects his period, the romantic period.
Regarding the text section (which is generally sung) we can claim that a historical moment, a particular
experience, a cultural moment and strand can specifically be expressed. A music that's not contextualized is
difficult to see. For example, a nation's anthem shows its heritage and constructs its population values. Most
Rap songs talk about issues in society and lead to social awareness.Music can educate, motivate, destroy,
discipline, thrill and sensitize a lot of other human specific characteristics.
If I take the case of some African cultures, every cultural event is expressed by a particular musical style. For
instance, to welcome a new born child, there are specific music. During funeral ceremonies, there are particular
music. To pray God as the forefathers did, there are also specific songs.
So, any cultural activity dictates the type and the style of music which must be played. I think it is in that
manner that the culture of an area may influence the music which is produced.
Music and culture two are inseparable parts of human. When we studies music in cultural context we always
find out the behavior pattern of individual in a culture is related to their music. I will give you an example of
Sindhi culture in Pakistan. In Sindhi is culture it is believed that Sindhi music is determined by the behavior of
peoples. Where the cultural values are embodied in music, the singing pattern and also narratives which
historically connotate the nature of people of respective culture in particular area.
Now when we talk about change, in my research in Sindh I have observed and find out the changes in cultures
which occurred in past two decades. My findings were that with change in world, and which came with
industrialization and modernization in region of Sindh, it bought certain changes which were very apparent.
The change which I will relate to your question are the change in dress pattern and cultural indigenous and folk
music. No matter how much culture resist the change which is constant can come. But these changes in dress
pattern and music of Sindh has shaped the culture of people and integrated in modern ways of adopting new
things music.
Music and culture both were effected and faded away the way traditional of narratives. My samples were elders
and youngster I found both categories had different perspectives about music and love and respect, fashion too.
Listening to new type of music change your behavior and way of expressing love.
Culture can exist without music, while music is an expression of culture. As with any artifact, music
incorporates the symbols of lived experience in noise.
It affects our life situations by heart. Because music is essential for people to help our emotional awareness
