DESCRIPTION
Cablejet is a plasticizing and expanding agent in powder
form to be added to cement for preparing shrinkage-free,
highly-fluid pumpable slurries for injection.
WHERE TO USE
Cablejet may be used to great advantage in the
following applications:
• to make slurry for filling the protective sheaths for
cables in post-tensioned concrete;
• to make slurry for anchoring reinforcement steel,
tie-rods and nails in concrete and rocks;
• to make slurry for filling cavities and cracks in rock
and deteriorated concrete;
• to make injection slurry.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Cablejet is a powder admixture with plasticising and
expanding action to be mixed with cement and water
for preparing injection slurries with high fluidity (cone
test according to EN 445 < 30 seconds) and extended
consistency retention.
The expanding action of Cablejet completely eliminates
hydraulic shrinkage and promotes expansion both in
the plastic state and during hardening. In addition,
Cablejet reduces bleeding, to a minimum.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Pour the water into the mixer (approx. 34-40% by
weight of cement), then start the mixer and add
Cablejet at a rate of 2-4% by weight of cement, then
add the cement. Mix for 2 to 3 minutes and if needed
add more water until the desired fluidity is reached
EN 934-4
(cone test according to EN 445 < 30 seconds).
The slurry is pumpable for at least 2 hours at +20°C
(+68°F).
CONSUMPTION
The dosage of Cablejet is 2-4% by weight of cement.
PACKAGING
Cablejet is available in 20 kg (44 lb) plastic bags.
STORAGE
Cablejet is stable for 12 months when stored in a dry
place in its original packaging.
The product complies with the conditions of Annex XVII
to Regulation (EC) N° 1907/2006 (REACH), item 47.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION
AND APPLICATION
Cablejet contains cement that when in contact with
sweat or other body fluids causes irritant alkaline
reactions and allergic reactions to those predisposed.
It can cause damage to eyes. It is recommended to
use protective gloves and goggles and to take the
usual precautions for the handling of chemicals. If the
product comes in contact with the eyes or skin, wash
immediately with plenty of water and seek medical
attention.
