Actor Mark Wahlberg's strenuous daily routine to keep fit

Mark Wahlberg wakes up when many are going to sleep.

The Hollywood actor revealed the tough daily routine he follows, which involves
getting up in the middle of the night to exercise.

Wahlberg, 47, known for his good form, detailed his regime while answering
questions from his followers on Instagram.

On a typical day, the actor gets out of bed at 2:30 am and prays for half an
hour. At 3:15 am he has "oatmeal, cranberries and peanut butter" for breakfast.

He trains for 95 minutes and then eats again. He eats "a protein shake, three
turkey burgers and five pieces of sweet potato", as he detailed.

He takes a bath for an hour and a half, plays golf for half an hour and at 8
o'clock he has another snack consisting of 10 turkey meatballs.

Then he goes into a cryogenic chamber for an hour to recover from the
exercises.

The exercises that will help you age better from 30

Cryotherapy is a popular treatment among athletes that consists of lowering the

air temperature to -100°C, using liquid nitrogen, to relieve muscle and joint pain.

After this session, the actor still has a long day to go.
Time with the family

At 10:30 a.m. you will eat again: grilled chicken salad with two hard-boiled eggs,
olives, avocado, cucumber, tomato and lettuce.

Almost eight hours after getting up, he attends meetings, takes work calls or
spends time with his family.

Wahlberg has four children with his wife, Rhea Durham, and the star says
getting up early leaves him plenty of time to be with them.

"Most of the time I have to train and do all my own things while my family is
asleep, especially on the weekends," he said.

That and the rewards, of course. Wahlberg was considered the highest-paid
actor in Hollywood in 2017, and he remains one of the most sought-after
performers.

"An Extreme Lifestyle"

"At one o'clock, I have a steak lunch with green peppers. At 3:30 p.m. I eat
grilled chicken with bok cho i(Chinese cabbage). At 17:30, a beautiful piece of
turbot or cod or sea bass, with some vegetables, maybe some golden potatoes
and bok choi. And I drink a lot of Aqua hydrate (a brand of electrolyte-purified
water) during the day," she said.

"That's about it.

Wahlberg said that in the midst of these activities, she makes time to pick up
her children from school.

What happens to your body during high-intensity exercise and why it's so
effective
John Brewer, professor of applied sports science at St. Mary's University in the
United Kingdom, said the human body does adapt to extreme diets, but it needs
time to recover.

"What Wahlberg has done is clearly at the extreme end, and his physique must
have adapted and changed significantly as a result," Brewer told the BBC.

But it may not be possible to sustain such a program in the long term, she said.

"I suspect that in five or 10 years I may not be leading that extreme lifestyle.
You may lose the willpower to do it or your body may say it's enough.

"The message for most people is that you don't have to do as much as
Wahlberg to achieve the state of health and well-being that most doctors would
recommend," she concluded.

Wahlberg also revealed that he goes to sleep at 7:30 p.m., when many people
still don't even feel sleepy.
