Tutorial for Third age Reforged 0.97.

1 for catalina provided by @XPMK THE ALMOST

ALMIGHTY#6123 (Edited by me because the originals didn’t work for me- thanks!)

Note: THIS DEFINITELY IS NOT THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO DO THIS… there are sure to
be unnecessary steps here, but I’m going off of the originals, and this is what
worked for me.

STEP 1:
Download all necessary software…

Step 1a: download and install the unarchiver (https://theunarchiver.com/)

Step 1b:
Download third age reforged 0.97.1 https://www.moddb.com/mods/third-age-
reforged/downloads/third-age-reforged-0971-standalone . Extract the folder and put
it in your desktop.

Step 1c:
Go to this link: https://github.com/Gcenx/WineskinServer and go to releases(the
first link)and download Unofficial.Wineskin.Winery.Zip. Extract and open it.

STEP 2: Creating a Wrapper…

Step 2a: Open Wineskin and press the + button. Among the options, search for
WS11WineCX64Bit19.0.1-1 . Once selected, download and install.

Step 2b:
Extract the .zip file. (?) (I don’t remember if I had to do this… if you’re not
prompted, probably don’t worry about it)

Step 2c:
Click on update to get the latest wrapper.

Step 2d:
Click "Create New Blank Wrapper". Give it a name and start the process. It might
take a while. If it asks you to install gecko, just say yes/ok and let it do its
thing.

STEP 3: Extracting The Files

Step 3a:
Make a new empty folder in your desktop and name it reforged.

Step 3b:
Open your wrapper. You should just be able to search for it, or find it among your
apps when you do the show all apps thing (sorry not too tech savvy, which is
probably why the OG directions didn’t make sense to me).

Step 3c:
Click on “Install Software”. Then on “Copy A Folder Inside”. Chose your new empty
“reforged” folder. (I’d bet this step is unnecessary but it’s what I did) You might
get an error about no new executables but don’t worry about it.

Step 3d:
Repeat 3c except for the folder you extracted from the moddb zip file in step 1b.
Then press “okay” and you’ll launch the installer. Set the locations as your user
desktop (at least thatt’s what I did). THE PASSWORD IS “mellon” someone had a sense
of humor and loves lotr a lot which I guess makes sense.
STEP 4: Setting up the Mod & Launching

Step 4a:
Search the wrapper you used (made in 2d) and click show package contents. Go to
contents>resources>drive_c>users>YOURUSERNAME>desktop. You should find the third
age folder there with all the extracted files.

Step 4b:
Open another finder window and go to Macintosh
HD>Users>YOURUSERNAME>Library>Application Support>Steam>steamapps>common>Medieval
II Total War>Medieval2Data>mods and DRAG the third age folder INTO the mod folder.

NOTE: If you don’t know where to find your library. Click the “Go” drop down and
(you may have to) hold your control or alt key down to see your library and click
it.

Step 4c:
Open medieval 2, then in the launcher… in advanced options type:
--features.mod=mods/Third_Age_Reforged (make sure of caps AND leaving the double
dash a double dash).
