Question 4 (Take g  9.8 ms 2 )

A car of mass 1000 kg is towing a horse float of mass 500 kg along a straight road which is inclined at
7
an angle of  to the horizontal where sin   . The frictional force acting on the car is 3000 newtons

car and on the horse float.

(b) Calculate the tension in the coupling which joins the car and the horse float.
(c) Find the acceleration of the car. (Express your answer correct to 3 decimal places).
