What do I need?
• regular wooden frame (approximately 60 cm * 75 cm length and 2,5 cm width) and 4 screws
• 2 pieces of wool fabric (40-50 cm * 10 cm each)
• cuts of transparent fabric (chiffon or tulle 40 * 60 cm)
• regular sewing kit (pins, a needle with the thread, scissors)
• 4-5 meters of silk or cotton ribbon (2,5 cm width)
What do I do?
• wrap two longest parts of the frame with the wool or any kind of soft fabric
• assemble the frame’s components
• put the cut of the embroidery fabric on the frame
1. Place the frame’s longest parts on top of the cuts 2. Wrap the fabric around (from the center) and
of the wool or any other soft fabric secure with the pins (also from the center point)
3. Fix the fabric applying regular stitches 4. Assemble all parts the frame
5. Place your frame on top of the fabric 6. Roll the shortest edges of the silk on the frame
7. Stretch the silk by pulling one part of the frame 8. Turn the frame upside down
down and twist the screws very firmly!
P.S. mind the corners at 90 degrees! P.S. the silk is like a drum now!
9. Arm with the ribbon in order to fix the other 10. Wrap the frame with the ribbon.

fixation.
13. Try not to pull the ribbon and the silk 14. Continue as follows side to side as close to the

15. When the first side is fixed - turn to the other 16. When ready, clap the silk in order to check the
side and repeat the whole process again. tension
At this point, I recommend you to pull the fabric and
the ribbon in order to stretch the silk firmly.
