Introduction:
By understanding the needs and wants of your customers, and having a pulse on the
competitive nature and environment of your market, product research determines the
difference between product success and failure—both at launch and throughout
the product life cycle.
New product development(NDP) is the process of bringing a new product to market. Your
company may be involved in the process for user preferences, increasing conversions and
changes in technology use or new opportunities. Carefully consider product design (NPD) that
can save you time, money, and equipment.

A Literature View:
New food products have a high chance of market failure. To improve the chances of new product
success, a consumer-oriented approach to product development has been recommended. The approach
emphasizes the importance of an optimal fit between consumers’ needs and the new product.

The new product development literature reflects the importance of introducing new products
in the market for the success of any sustainable business. There are numerous studies done in
the last few decades that document the relevance of NPD as a key factor in business planning,
profit performance, and overall growth of the company .
Product development as the transformation of market opportunity and a set of assumptions about
product technology into a product available for sale.

Quality production in the product development is vital to final quality of a product. Customer
requirements are foundation of quality control. Product development has to be linked with customer
demand and & Quality Characteristics.
Product development is characterized by a change in tools and organizations. Virtual reality software
improvements can support works in distributed. In order to improve distributed teamwork in product
development in the future the virtual reality can be a suitable tool.
