5G, WIFI CONNECTIVITY HAVE EMPOWERED US THROUGH THE
PANADEMIC, COVID19.
Over the course of the last few months, the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2
coronavirus has thrown the world into disarray. In an effort to save as many lives as
possible, entire countries have all but shut down, many imposing quarantines or requiring
nonessential workers to stay home. This has forced organizations and workers in pretty
much every industry to reinvent presence, productivity and collaboration, and adapt to one
of the most challenging and sudden waves of disruption since the second world war.
Fortunately, science and technology have advanced considerably since 1945, and while both
the human toll and the economic impact of this pandemic are already staggering,
technology has at least allowed hundreds of millions of people in affected countries to
remain connected, productive, and healthy.

For the better part of a decade, Digital Transformation has been the core driver of
organizational change. The transition from legacy IT to cloud computing; the expansion of
retail and banking into the mobile space; the rise of machine learning, artificial intelligence,
and smart automation; and the growth of the IT were, among other massively
transformative technologies, at the heart of a generational forward evolutionary leap. And it
is therefore not surprising that these very technologies have enabled businesses,
governments, healthcare systems, students, and workers to adapt to the maelstrom of
disruption caused by the pandemic and by sudden and oftentimes draconian efforts to
mitigate it.

1.IDEA GENERATION:
To fight coronavirus, China actively leveraged digital technologies such as artificial
intelligence (AI), big data, cloud computing, blockchain, and 5G.

SOURCES:

China's practice has proven that the new-generation information technologies have unique
advantages and can play an important role in responding to major public health challenges.

In August 2012, New York University founded NYU Wireless, a multi-disciplinary academic research
centre that has conducted pioneering work in 5G wireless communications

MARKETING RESEARCH:

On November 1, 2012, the EU project "Mobile and wireless communications Enablers for the
Twenty-twenty Information Society" (METIS) starts its activity toward the definition of 5G. METIS
achieved an early global consensus on these systems. In this sense, METIS played an important role
of building consensus among other external major stakeholders prior to global standardization
activities. This was done by initiating and addressing work in relevant global fora (e.g. ITU-R), as well
as in national and regional regulatory bodies.

SCREENING EVALUATION:
The outbreak acts as a transient catalyst for the development of 5G applications. In early days of
commercial use, most 5G applications were still in a stage of demonstration and experiment. After
the COVID-19 outbreak, applications such as 5G teleconsultation and 5G intelligent medical and
nursing robots have evolved from the experimental stage to clinical use and been practically applied
in a number of hospitals.

CONCEPT EVALUATION:
CNBC reports that 5G, in China, is helping underpin apps that can help monitor individuals
temperatures. Similar initiatives may be a boon across the globe in efforts to triage the pandemic.
KRASIA reports that in Singapore, a temperature-taking tool, underpinned by artificial intelligence
(AI) called iThermo has utilized thermal and laser technology to take the temperature of people as
they walk past the tool.

CONCEPT TEST:

5G intelligent medical and nursing robots have evolved from the experimental stage to clinical use
and been practically applied in a number of hospitals. Moreover, as part of the epidemic prevention
and control efforts, quarantine measures have kept enterprises, schools and factories to from
returning to work, providing a rare test bed for remote online 5G applications. These will speed up
the maturation of some 5G applications.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS:
The Global 5G Infrastructure Market was valued at USD 0.56 billion in 2016 and is
projected to reach USD 22.93 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 51.01% from 2017 to
2025.

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT:
The 5G networks in development, on the other hand, operate within the higher frequencies of the
wireless spectrum and rely on millimeter waves to transmit data. ... For instance, 5G users would be
able to leverage networking power from multiple antennas, increasing both connection speed and
capacity.

MARKET STRATEGY:
A new 5G marketing mindset centered around use cases and service differentiation is critical for
marketers to hit their mark. The right strategy starts with asking how 5G can impact fundamental
marketing strategies and product mix across multiple industries. Marketers must scrap current
playbooks and open their imagination to the possibilities of the what, where and how of their
portfolios. Marketing 5G requires a rethink of your four P’s: product, place, price and promotion.
A substantial upgrade from 4G in terms of latency, capacity, speed and bandwidth, this fifth-
generation network technology is more than hype. It’s the catalyst in an evolution in advanced
products and services that includes everything from mobile, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality
(VR) and mixed reality, the “internet of things” (IoT) and more

TESTING:
The comprehensive portfolio of 5G test tools supports all phases of 5G deployment, with the
adaptability required to assure quality and performance across all facets of the 5G
landscape, making VIAVI a stand out amongst 5g testing companies. These powerful yet
versatile test solutions tacitly support the greatest technology revolution of the 21st century.

People demand the best in performance when it comes to wireless technology. New 5G
advancements allow speeds up to 100 times faster than existing cellular connections and latency in
the 1 millisecond range, 5G will even surpass the current capabilities of physical fiber optics. To
support a successful transition, 5G test practices are being developed and refined to ensure the
consistent 5G performance that end users demand. The collective tools, software, protocols, and
practices required for all 5G deployment phases form the core of the emerging 5G testing field.

COMMERCIALIZATION:
As of Oct. 2019, 62 operators from 34 countries started 5G commercial services with a limited
footprint. Indeed, Korea is rapidly ramping up the infrastructure aimed at nationwide coverage.
Ericsson's 2019 mobility report expected 13 million 5G subscribers by end of 2019 (where Korea
counts for more than one third) and one billion 5G subscribers by 2023. In order to establish a global
5G ecosystem and promote the timely introduction of 5G, collaboration has played a key role in two
tracks—joint promotion and joint research.

Conclusion
The 5G Forum keeps promoting the collaboration of government, ICT, and vertical industries,
institutes, and academia to integrate 5G into the vertical states at the time of covid 19.. Finally, 5G
Forum has already started laying out 6G vision. In fact, the 6G national project is slated to launch in
2021 and last for eight years.

Without the infrastructure that makes our phones, computers, tablets and smart TVs connect to
Gmail, Webex, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Zoom, Netflix, Hulu, Twitter, and a million other services
and platforms, it would be very difficult to work from home in our day and age. Part of that
connectivity infrastructure is wired - DSL, coaxial cable, and fiber - and, increasingly, wireless
connectivity.

Good idea, still I would request to write in your own wordings.
