The Dictator vs The Legend: Ma Long vs Mattias Falck in 2019 World Championships
Highlights (Reaction Paper)

There were to many fast rallies executed on the match. As I watching the video my naked
eye could not see the pingpong ball. I also noticed that whenever they serve, each other stance or
footwork were greatly executed, and gave both player the flexibility and agility that they needed
in order to hit back the pingpong ball back to their opponent.

Each other’s smashes really hit the ball with great force and speed, making both players
struggle to catch up with the smashed ball. I also noticed that whenever there is a rally, it will be
a fast rally, and both players were farther away from the table tennis table. I also noticed that
their paddle are made professionally, and you will instantly know that their respective paddles
were manufactured within the standards of ITTF or International Table Tennis Federation
because the paddles have necessary and required components and parts, making their respective
and personal paddles competitive enough whenever there will be a professional match or
training.

Talking about the audiences that were on the actual match of Ma Long and Matias Falck,
they really enjoy watching the rallies between the two players. It shows that the both players

executed their roles perferctly and with enthusiasm that each and every match, the audiences
make a hollering noise, making round of applauses and screaming their respective preferred
player. Some of the clips on the video had appearnces of their respective coaches, and you will
see that their coaches were very happy and satisfied with their performance in each and every
set.

But one player really standed out as I watched the whole 12 – minute video, and it was
Ma Long. Im my own opinion, Ma Long hit such high quality balls this match that Falck
couldn’t really use his “killer” smashes and counters with his short pip forehand. He also had a
lot of low and short returns so that the opponent couldn’t initiate attack very well. I must say
that it was a brilliant strategy and outstanding ball control. And also, Ma Long showing us how
to win with the minimal amount of smashings .

However, we cannot also exclude from this narrative the other player, Matias Falck. He
also executed his role well as a table tennis player. He also smashes really hard with precision
and accuracy, and some of his balls were very fast that even Ma Long cannot counter it back to
him. His footwork and stance were on point and really benefit his overall performance in
matching up with Ma Long.

In conclusion, the match were on fire that even umpires have enjoyed watching the fast
rallies, footwork executions and exchange of balls between Ma long and Matias Falck. I must
say that the two gave their audiences a great and worthwhile performance match, while
maintaining their sportsmanship up until the very end of the match highlights.
