Technical Solution: On a special floating
platform a wind turbine and photovoltaic
systems, produce and supply, through
advanced electrical and electronic energy
conversion components, energy to a
desalination unit which uses reverse osmosis
technique, in order to produce potable water
from the sea. No chemical additives are used
in the desalination process. The platform is
designed in such a way that it remains stable
even with adverse weather conditions (has
faced so far winds up to 120km/hour, without any problem).

1. Operation with wind and sun energy, no other fuel.

3. Installation far from the coast (in deep water) avoiding any ecological impact
or any stress to the environment

required for land-based wind parks and the required infrastructure for
transmission of the energy produced to the desalination unit. Overcome
constraints of land availability .
5. Easy towage of the finished plant to the place of operation, and possibility to
be transferred in other places if needed.

TECHOLOGICAL IOVATIOS:

- Is adapted to operate with varying power input, using this way all the
available wind power (when the wind speed is high, more power is generated
and consumed, increasing respectively the quantity of the potable water
produced)
- Coupling of the platform and the wind turbine – special design that allows the
coexistence and operation of the floating structure and the wind turbine.
- The unit is autonomous, fully automated, and so unmanned, reducing in this
way significantly the operation cost.
- The desalination unit used in the plant has been improved, so that with varying
power input we maximize production efficiency and energy saving, without
any chemical treatment.

ECOLOGICAL ASPECT:
Uses only wind and sun as energy sources , does not use any chemicals, eliminating
the environmental impact and stress, as with natural way and from natural sources
(sea, wind, sun) an inexhaustible and 100% ecological source of potable water is
created.
