TASK 1.

1. I do have minimal skills of the use of ICT tools and it has been developing through
experience. Through the years of being a student, my skills is ICT have developed overtime
because constantly, we are given projects/paperwork/tasks that greatly involves with the use of
ICT tools. With this kind of experience, it further developed my skills.
2. My knowledge with regards of the ICT curriculum include the use of different ICT tools both
hardware and software. I can modestly use computers/laptops and other technologies, also I am
aware in using different application software such as Microsoft office, excel, google chrome, MS
PowerPoint, etc.
3. My knowledge of the rest of the curriculum helped me a lot as a learner to gain skills and
thereby encouraged me in improving my creativity. ICT is applied in increasing my potential and
individual capabilities. Thus, my knowledge with regards to ICT allows me in gaining my own
personal experiences.
4. I applied my existing knowledge and skills in ICT by experiencing real life situations and
scenarios wherein I can practically use ICT tools. Those include the use of software applications
as a medium in accomplishing my assignments and tasks as a student. Both my knowledge and
skills of using ICT tools made me a more skillful and competent individual.

TASK #9
1. The research described the use of ICT as a platform to promote writing skills among primary
school pupils. It aims to explore the practicality of ICT in promoting pupils’ writing skills. Instead
of restricting the usage of ICT among primary school pupils, ICT should be fully explored to
nurture the habit of writing in the school. It illustrate the relationship between the use of social
media and its role in promoting writing skills. The writing occurs when they share their ideas
through typing which could be considered as one of the ways to write in order to voice out their
opinion. The study also described how the use of social media influence towards promoting,
motivation, generating ideas to write and the application of writing skills.
2. The research findings revealed that ICT serves as one of the useful and practical tools in
promoting writing skills among the pupils. From the data collected above, it can be concluded
that social media is a useful tool used to promote writing skills among primary school pupils.
The feedback from the respondents also shows the majority of them are applying ICT as one of
their writing tools. Based on the result, it is clearly proven that social media serves as one of the
effective tools to promote writing skills and provide a variety of language learning opportunities
for the children.
3. The younger generations prefer to learn and acquire knowledge by just tapping the screen
rather than the ‘Chalk and talk’ method. There are several implications that can be derived from
the study for my teaching. ICT is formed by various sets of high-tech devices and resources
used for communicating, inventing, disseminate, store, and manage information purposes. In
my teaching, the use of ICT and web-based learning solutions offer opportunities in assigning
tasks through social media as a platform for them to practice and encourage them to write in
order for learners to experience a more engaging and challenging learning process. Despite of
the effectiveness of ICT in promoting writing skills, teachers should take into account the safety
of the children when they go online. Thus, when social media is fully utilized for a meaningful
purpose, it can be an effective way towards not only writing skill but also all the skills in learning
any languages.

TASK #2
1. I can can modestly use ICT tools
2. Something that I can do with ICT is my knowledge and skills in using different software
applications. In my teaching, I can use my skills and knowledge to improve my visual aid during
class discussions by creating PowerPoint presentation as I deliver lessons to my students.
Children are mostly visual learners, they learn best visually. Through the use of such software
application, this would allow my students to be delighted and excited every class discussions
because they look forward to seeing animations and pictures with regards to the topic being
discussed. With ICT, it would result to a much more better and meaningful class discussions.
