Abstract
Batam is the fastest growing city in Indonesia with abundant coastal wealth. The large
number of coastal areas in Batam encourages the advancement of tourism areas in this city.
The rise of industrial development in Batam City is also very fast, along with population
growth, but development is still not evenly carried out. Lack of even development has made a
lot of land, especially those located in coastal areas, not maximized properly. Through
observations in various coastal areas in Batam City, it was found that there are still quite a lot
of large areas of land in the coastal area with abundant potential that have not been
maximized. The design of the coastal areas at these points in the area is a step to maximize
the potential as well as further promote tourism in Batam City.
