Employee

• How can I request for assessment?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Under the Employee node click on Request For Assessment link.
o Now a grid containing your skill details is displayed. Click on the Request
For Assessment link.
o Enter your answers on each page and click on Save button to continue
later or click on Save & Continue button to proceed.
o On the last page that contains contribution questions Click on Submit to
complete the assessment.

• How can I request for assessment if the link is disabled?


o Please see the comments section which describes the reason of the
disabled link.
o If still you feel that the reason given is not satisfactory please contact your
HR.

• I am getting java script error on click of back button on the assessment page. Is
this an error and should I resubmit my assessment?
o No you need not resubmit your assessment. Its not an error its just a java
script warning message which will not reappear if you do the below
settings:
 Click Tools menu on IE select Internet options.
 On the advanced Tab under browsing category de-select Disable
Script Debugging(internet explorer) and Disable Script
Debugging(other).
 De-select Display a notification about every script error check box.
o Even if you get this error it does not impact your assessment record and
the answers entered by you are submitted successfully.

• When I click on the Request for Assessment the page displays “Questionnaire not
available” in the comments section.
o Please contact your HR.

• When I click on the Request for Assessment, the Assessment page displays that
certification questions not available. Hence can not proceed with the assessment.
o Please note that though certification questions are not available for a
resource’s skill then too the assessment can be completed successfully. It’s
not an error.

• How can I change my primary/secondary skill?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Under the Employee node click on View Personnel Details link.

o Click on the Change Primary/Secondary Specialty/Skill link on the


User Details screen.
o On the new screen (Set Specialty/Skill screen) click on the Edit link to
edit your skill.
o A new window opens there click on the Skill Search link, a new window
opens there enter the skill name click on Search and select the desired skill
from the grid.
o Select the Reason then enter experience in months, last used date,
comments and click on Save.
o A message box is displayed click on OK and your request goes for
approval.
o Once it is approved you can see it on your User Details screen or to check
the status of your request you can click on the Change
Primary/Secondary Specialty/Skill link. In the skills grid status of your
request is shown.

• The link for changing primary skill is disabled on the screen?


o If you have already raised a request to change your primary skill, the Edit
link will be disabled till your earlier request is approved. Once it is
approved that link will be enabled.

• How can I add a Secondary skill on which I can take assessment?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Under the Employee node click on View Personnel Details link.
o Click on the Change Primary/Secondary Specialty/Skill link on the
User Details screen.
o On the new screen (Set Specialty/Skill screen) click on the Add
Specialty/Skill link to add a skill.
o A new window opens there click on the Skill Search link, a new window
opens there enter the skill name click on Search and select the desired skill
from the grid.
o Select the Reason then enter experience in months, last used date,
comments and click on Save.
o A message box is displayed click on OK and your request goes for
approval.
o Once it is approved you can see it on your User Details screen or to check
the status of your request you can click on the Change
Primary/Secondary Specialty/Skill link. In the skills grid status of your
request is shown.

• My supervisor detail shown on AST is correct but it’s wrong on the CAMS?
o The data changed on AST takes at least 2 days time to reach CAMS. After
2 days it will be updated if the data is still incorrect then please contact
your HR.

• I have submitted my assessment and it has gone to my supervisor but now my


supervisor has resigned or changed then who will assess me?
o Once a new supervisor is assigned to you he will be able to do the
assessment for you.

• How can I delete my primary skill?


o Please note that you can not delete your primary skill but you can change
it to whichever skill you want and after proper approval your primary skill
will be set to that.

• How can I delete a secondary skill?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Under the Employee node click on View Personnel Details link.
o Click on the Change Primary/Secondary Specialty/Skill link on the
User Details screen.
o On the new screen (Set Specialty/Skill screen) click on the Delete link to
delete your skill.
o On the new screen enter the comments and click on Save button.
o You will receive a message box saying skill deleted.

• Is it mandatory to take assessment on Secondary skill?


o No. It is not mandatory to take assessment on secondary skill but it is
recommended that you take assessment on secondary skill.

• How can I add an additional skill?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Under the Employee node click on View Personnel Details link.
o Click on the Change Additional Specialty/Skill link.
o On the new screen (Set Specialty/Skill) click on Add Specialty/Skill link.
o On the new screen (Specialty/skill change) select the value for New
Capability/Specialty/skill drop down.
o Select the value as Specialty if you want to add the additional skill at
specialty level else select skill from the drop down.
o Click on the Skill Search link on the new window (Search skill) enter the
skill/specialty name and click on Search button.
o Click on the skill/specialty name from the search grid.
o Select the Reason then enter experience in months, last used date,
comments and click on Save.
o A message box is displayed click on OK and on the Specialty/skill change
screen you can see the newly added skill/specialty.

• Can I take assessment on my additional skill?

o Assessment is possible only on Secondary and primary skill. Hence you


can’t take assessment on additional skill.

• Can an additional skill be converted to a secondary/primary skill?


o No. You will have to first delete your additional skill and then again
add/edit primary/secondary skill to have that skill as your new
primary/secondary skill.

• How can I delete my additional skill?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Under the Employee node click on View Personnel Details link.
o Click on the Change Additional Specialty/Skill link.
o On the new screen (Set Specialty/Skill) click on Add Specialty/Skill link.
o From the Skill List grid, click on the Delete link under Action Column of
the desired skill/specialty.
o On the Specialty/Skill change window enter the reason for deletion and
click Save button.
o A message box is displayed, click OK.
o On the Set Specialty/Skill screen the skill/specialty is deleted from the
grid.

• View my ratings page displays – (hyphen) as the value for proficiency rating of
current period?
o You will not be shown the proficiency rating of current period.
o It only displays the proficiency rating of previous periods.

• When I click on the Evaluate Resource link I get “You are not authorized to view
this page.” Access denied message.
o This message is displayed when the resource does not have an assessee
mapped for assessment.
o Evaluate Resource link should be used by the assessor when an assessee
is assigned for assessment.

• Though I have completed my assessment the Request for Assessment link is


enabled.
o The request for assessment link will remain enabled but when clicked on
it, the page will open in read only mode not allowing any modifications.

• Who will approve the request for assessment?


o If the resource has a self assessment of P0 or P1, the assessment will be
approved by the supervisor
o If the resource has a self assessment P2, P3, P4, the assessment will be
approved by the assessor assigned to the assessee by the capability lead.

o The above approvals for the respective proficiency ratings will depend on
the configurable values.

• Who will approve the request for skill add/edit?


o The approval process will flow as per the values in the configurable table.

• How is additional skill different from secondary skill?


o A user can have assessment on the secondary skill whereas additional skill
doesn’t allow him/her to take assessment.
o There a specific no. of secondary skill that can be added i.e. currently its 3
whereas a resource can add as many additional skills as they want.
o For adding/editing a secondary skill approval is needed whereas for an
additional skill approval is not needed.

• How is additional skill used?


o Currently this information is stored in CAMS and used to capture all the
skills that user has.
o In future these details will be shared with other systems like DSM and
myScheduling.

Supervisor

• How can I approve a skill change request?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Click on Approve Skill Change link under the Supervisor Node.
o Click on the search button to get all the skill change requests or enter some
search parameters to narrow down the search.
o On the result grid scroll to the right and click on the Pending link.
o Approve skill change request screen opens, enter your comments and
select Yes to approve or No to reject and click on Save button.

• My resource has raised a skill change request but I can not find it?
o Please confirm with the resource that your name is displayed as the
Supervisor of that resource on the View Details page.
o If not and if the resource has raised a supervisor change request recently
then it takes minimum 2 days to reflect in CAMS.
o Please report it to your HR if above two cases is not valid.

• Is it possible to approve all assesses assigned to me through some bulk upload


functionality?
o No currently this feature is not supported by CAMS.

• How can I assess a resource assigned to me?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.

o Click on Assess Assesses link under the Supervisor Node.


o Click on search by entering any search data if you wish.
o On the result grid click on the Name of the resource.
o Resource Assessment screen opens, enter your answers and then click on
Save to save it for now and submit later or click on Save & Submit.
o On the last page i.e. contribution page click on Submit to submit it or click
on Save to submit it later.

Evaluator/SME

• I am SME of XYZ specialty and I am assigned as the assessor of a resource of


another specialty. But when I click on the Assess Assesses link I can not find that
resource. How can I finish the assessment of that resource?
o Please check the skill/specialty of the resource assigned to you.
o If that resource is of some other specialty for which you are not the SME
then please click on the Evaluate Resource link under the Employee
node and you will find that resource there.
o If that resource is of the same specialty for which you are SME and still
you are not able to get that resource in search result then please contact
your HR.
o Or that resource might have resigned.

• Is it possible to approve all assesses assigned to me through some bulk upload


functionality?
o No currently this feature is not supported by CAMS.

Capability Lead

• How can I assign an SME?


o Option 1: It should be used when there is less no. of SME to be assigned.
 Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
 Click on the Assign SME link under Capability Lead link.
 Enter name or personnel no. of the resource and select the specialty
from “Select speciality to Assign/Unassign SME” drop down.
 Click on Assign SME button.
 A message box is shown, click on OK.
o Option 2: Through uploads for bulk data.
 Contact the CAMS support team and provide them the list of SME
in the SME upload template.

• How can I unassign SME?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Click on the Assign SME link under Capability Lead link.
o Enter name or personnel no. of the resource and select the specialty from
“Select speciality to Assign/Unassign SME” drop down.

o Click on UnAssign SME button.


o A message box is shown, click on OK.

• How can I add an Acting Cap lead?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Click on the Assign Acting Cap. Lead link under Capability Lead Node.
o On the Assign Acting Capability Lead screen select the Capability and
specialty. If you wish to assign acting cap lead for a specific skill then
select skill also.
o Click the Magnifier Icon next to the Enterprise Id field, on the Resource
Search screen enter the enterprise id of the resource and click on search.
o Select the record from the result grid and click on Add button on the
Assign Acting Capability Lead screen.
o Click on Assign Act. Cap. Lead button.
o A message box is shown, click on OK.

• How can I unassign/delete an Acting Cap lead?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Click on the UnAssign Acting Cap. Lead link under Capability Lead
Node.
o On the UnAssign Acting Capability Lead screen, select the Capability
and specialty.
o Click the check box against the resource that you wish to un assign.
o Click on UnAssign Act. Cap. Lead button.
o A message box is shown, click on OK.

• How can I check all the acting cap leads for my capability?
o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Click on the View Acting Cap. Lead link under Capability Node.
o Acting Capability Lead List screen opens, select capability and click on
Search button.
o All Acting Cap. Leads under your capability will be displayed.

• How can I assign assessors to assessees in my capability?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Option 1:
 Click on the Assign / Reassign Assessee link under Capability
Lead Node.
 Assign / Reassign Assessee screen opens, select the proficiency of
the Assessee and select the search criteria from the drop down and
select respective specialty or skill.
 Click on Search button.
 Select the Assessee from 1st grid (upper) and assessor from lower
grid and click on Assign button.

 A message box is shown, click OK.


o Option 2:
 Click on the Execute Evaluator Job link under Capability Lead
Node.
 Select capability and proficiency and click on the Execute button.
This will automatically assign assessors to available assesses.
o Option 3:
 Contact the CAMS Support team with the data in the Assessee-
Assessor upload template and they will upload it.

• After Auto Evaluator Job has been run by Capability Lead, is it possible for
Capability Lead to know to whom the assessee has been assigned?
o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Click on the Assign / Reassign Assessee link under Capability Lead Node.
o Assign / Reassign Assessee screen opens, select the proficiency of the
Assessee and select the search criteria from the drop down and select
respective specialty or skill.
o Check the “Assigned Assessee(s)” check box on the Assign / Reassign
Assessee screen.
o Click on Search button.
o The screen displays all the assessee in the 1st grid and the column
Assessor displays the name of assessor.

• How can I approve a skill change request?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
o Click on Approve Skill Change link under the Capability Lead Node.
o Click on the search button to get all the skill change requests or enter some
search parameters to narrow down the search.
o On the result grid scroll to the right and click on the Pending link.
o Approve skill change request screen opens, enter your comments and
select Yes to approve or No to reject and click on Save button.

• Can I assign an Acting Cap. Lead at the Capability level without selecting a
specialty/skill?
o No, the acting cap lead can be assigned at specialty or skill level only.

• Can I assign a SME at the skill/capability level?


o No, the SME can be assigned at specialty only.

Acting Capability Lead

• How can I approve a skill change request?


o Login with your enterprise credentials to the cams site.
