5. Meeting objective

∗ Knowledge of teaching and laboratory activities conducted by each


school with students with special needs
∗ Knowledge of Primary Schools in the area (Project “Experience
disability”)
∗ knowledge of cooperatives for the working inclusion of disabled
persons
∗ Acquisition of teaching methods for learning operations in sequence to
create recipes (kitchen laboratory)
∗ Understanding the didactic function of drama for pupils with
disabilities for self-knowledge and to express their emotions.
∗ Assignment of tasks to each partner school for the realization of the
final products.

8. Short description of activities and their results (including a few images)

Monday 3rd May


The group of participants arrived in Loreto has been received by the Councillor for
Education in the town of Loreto
Mrs. Franca Manzotti brought greetings from the mayor and all the municipal
administration.

After photos and exchanging gifts, the group has moved to school “Einstein-
Nebbia” where they were welcomed by the pupils of “Receptionist” Section. The
guests were accompanied in the visit to the school.

The “Einstein-Nebbia”
School, like all the Italian
school system,
implementing the
education of students with
disabilities in classes with
students "able bodied".
The group witnessed
laboratories kitchen,
dining room and bar, and
reception. The greatest

interest was aroused by the space and facilities designed specifically for pupils with
special needs.

Guests were involved in tests of a show. The workshop brought together students
and disabled students who played the excerpts from "Romeo and Juliet". The
theater at school is a way to help children to express their emotions.
Meeting participants were welcomed by teachers' support group that could
appreciate all have private lunch prepared by the Class 2A, 2C and served from
class 2B.
In the afternoon the project meeting began with the vision of the power point that
each partner school has made on the activities undertaken in this first year.

Tuesday 4th
The group visited the farm
"Terra e Vita" as an
important example of
social co-op where they
work together disabled
people and normal people.
The cooperative also runs
a bed and breakfast and
restaurant.
In the afternoon we
returned to work to discuss
the division of task for the
realization of the final
products. Each partner
school will be responsible
for collecting the material sent by schools and equalize the graphics of documents
received. Was provided for the realization of a DVD documenting where the
workshops: drama, music and dance. Will undertake exhibitions of works done by
children in the partner countries.
We create calendars with
pictures of the students who
participated in the workshop
and will produce a booklet of
recipes of traditional festivals.

Wednesday 5th

Visit to Primary School “Fratelli Cervi” of Macerata that realized, for years, a
project called "Experiment disability”.
The teachers with the children have created situations to put himself in position to
those who live on wheelchairs, or not see, or use sign language.

In the afternoon we returned to Loreto and has addressed the debate on good points
and bad points of the first year of project.
The day ended with the laboratory Pizza. In collaboration with the teacher of
cooking, all participants
performed the traditional
recipe of pizza made in
Italy.
Guests has been given
recipe "facilitate" . The
ingredients and the
proceedings were
translated with the images.

The end of the week was


dedicated to visiting the
major cities and tourist
resorts in the area.

9. Meeting evaluation (satisfaction questionaire)

Even for this meeting was used to project the board of satisfaction where each
participant is able to assess with a score from 1 to 5 their satisfaction about the
expectations and parternship project meeting, the relationship between partners,
and organization the host country. The results were entirely satisfactory because
they were all measured at maximum points.

Paper Title: “Loreto, European Project at “Einstein-Nebbia”

“It was concluded the project European for disabled students “ Learning by doing,
working by living” at Einstein-Nebbia” of Loreto. The Project was held in the

presence of teachers and psychologists foreigners from Spain, England, Poland,
Bulgaria, Romania and Portugal. The Italian school for over thirty years has
recognized the right to study in schools "normal" for children with disabilities and
the right integration is claimed and defended by force from their families and all
the teachers who believe in the richness of diversity. European guests met with
students with disabilities at Catering School in action for preparation of pizza for
all the comrades in the rehearsal of "Romeo and Juliet."

Several have been meetings with the authorities of the municipality of Loreto. After
their reception in the Council Hall, the administration of the Municipality of Loreto
wanted to participate in the delivery of certificates of participation at the meeting,
greeting guests at the dinner organized for them by the "Einstein-Nebbia" of
Loreto.
Meetings has involved prof. Marneo Serenelli dell'ANSAS (National Agency for
the Development of School) psychologist, psychotherapist and researcher, he work
on education and didactics for people with special needs.
