1 What is the author's primary thesis or central claim?
The author primary thesis is that the world had to come from
somewhere. You need to look at the evidence inside the universe
to figure out what could have created this from outside the
universe. It all makes more sense if there is an external source
who is creating this life.
2 List three premises the author uses to justify their thesis or central claim.
- In order for the universe to exist and have life there have to be
specific conditions. -- Small things can change and the details of
that thing will now be different. -- When you ask the "who"
question you realize that there isn't a person inside the universe
that could have done this. It had to be an external source.
3 Which parts of the reading did you find confusing, interesting, or inspiring? Explain why.
- What's fascinating is that without carbon the world (and life)
wouldn't even exist. Carbon bonds with everything making it so
that we need it to survive.
- What's interesting is how the author went from "inside the room"
to "outside the room" to figure out the who.
